Quintet Of The Year - Jazz At Massey Hall
In reply to earlier comments this album is credited in most jazz guides as being by "Quitent Of The Year" with the album title "Jazz At Massey Hall" (I have amend the title).

This album is billed as one of the most important jazz albums recorded and was the only time this five jazz legends ever recorded together.

Regarding the Charlie Parker card on the sleeve it does mention in the notes that Charlie surprised and infuriated some of the audience in an earlier concert when he turned his back on them when playing however Charlie Chan was the alias he used for this recording to get round contractual reasons.

I have added my copy on Vocalion and it is linked below.

Madonna - Ray Of Light (2017)
Original entered here on 45Worlds as a "Special Edition", this release back in 2017 was advertised as being exclusive to Sainsburys UK. It was also touted as being a limited release on blue vinyl.

This now appears to be a case of when a "special edition" is not a special edition....I just took delivery of this album from Amazon Germany (not a third party seller) who are currently selling this for £19.50 which is cheaper than what Sainsburys were originally selling it for (I think).

Same cat #, same barcode, double album on (unlimited!) blue vinyl, just missing the Sainsbury sticker!

You can as at today also order the clear vinyl edition of the "Like a Virgin" album which again was a Sainsburys' only release.

A5 was changed for the US release to "O3B".
The actual track title (as seen on the UK release) is "3OB".

The Beatles - Collectors Items (1979)
I assume this is a bootleg/unofficial release as I picked it up for $10 on 5th Ave NYC in 2016 from a guy selling records on the sidewalk. He had several sealed copies!

The last scan I have uploaded is the sticker from the rear of the shrink wrapped album. The type print is white on a clear sticker so I have had to adjust the levels (drastically) to make it readable.

Various Artists - Hit 2 The Album (1985)
Review
1985, mid way through the decade that still doesn't get the recognition that it deserves in comparison to the 60s, 70s & 90s music scene.

The NOW albums were the ones to buy and led the way for other labels to follow. This album from the Warner's stable showcases some of their big hits from that year and is a reminder of what was good in the 1985 UK charts. OK this album contains a few tracks that were dodgy back in 1985 and others than haven't aged well (I'm thinking Shaky, Howard Jones, Dazz Band, Jim Diamond) but look what it does offer...

Pete Burns' Dead Or Alive (before he became a rubber lipped joke) with the defining 80s hit You Spin Me Around; there's the excellent Kirsty covering Billy Bragg, a track from Paul Young the 80s "blue eyed soul" boy; Prince (say no more); Chaka Khan giving it all on This Is My Night, a bit of rock with ZZ Top and even Mick Jagger singing one of his better solo outings. Add in a few pop hits from King, Strawberry Switchblade and Art Of Noise and you get an enjoyable listen.

Available now at lots of charity shops for just a few quid, this is a worthy addition to your collection if, like me, you like an eclectic mix on your shelves.

Various Artists - The Dance Decade 1973 (1983)
Review
The cream of the crop from the UK dance scene of the late 70's and early 80's. Back in the 80's if you liked your dance music the Street Sounds label was the one to buy and this box set lives up to the label standards.

Over 28 sides you get a good selection of quality tunes, some crossover chart hits, the odd terrible pop tune (Boney M/ Ottawa) but at the end of the day all dance floor fillers (back then and at the right venue, still now).

If like me you spent most Friday & Saturday nights during 1979-85 hanging out in some small UK town's sticky carpet nightclub supping snakebite and black you will know pretty much every tune in this box.

My only gripe is either the shortened artist names or missing information displayed on the box and the labels. Track Z7 for example, where did Melle Mel go and O6 should be Al Hudson And The Partners.
