The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 6th Feb 2020		Vinyl Album Oscar Brand - Bawdy Songs And Backroom Ballads Vol. 1 (1955)	Festival Records had the distribution rights for the Audio Fidelity label in Australia, but was banned from releasing the Oscar Brand "Bawdy Songs" series of albums by the government. I imported the full set without any problems much to Festival's disgust.

Consequently I stocked both local and US imports to let the customer decide which one they wanted. CBS borrowed my copy of the original radio broadcast and used it in radio adverts to promote this release.

The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 6th May 2017		Vinyl Album Funkadelic - Free Your Mind And Your Ass Will Follow (1990)	Hi Lee, I wouldn't mind betting that there could still be some of the original Ace UK pressings floating around in some Australian retailers shelves of stock ex Shock since they were distributing Ace catalogue material (but not very well). As for Funkadelic this was their second album for Westbound. My favourites are their third and fourth albums, "Magot Brain" and "Cosmic Slop" which I imported from the USA since they were not released in Australia at the time. George Clinton is a great guitarist.

When searching by cat # the "space" and "-" is ignored in the search, so if you entered "ALL 796" then it would display all cat #'s that have been entered as "ALL796", ALL-796" and "ALL 796". When any cat #'s are entered with an alternate # using the "/" as a separator on the same line, for some reason it is only found if you enter your search in exactly the same way as it was entered. I guarantee that nobody would even think of doing something like that for a search - including me.

As submitted by VinylTeeka: "Yes, I know that Wheeler’s debut album is already being called “the filthiest country album in history”. But to merely label it as that would be a crime. It’s one of the finest country albums ever put to wax (or files, or whatever). Eleven songs of the most ass-kicking, moving and heartfelt real country you’ll ever hear. Produced by the great Dave Cobb (who’s produced Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Jamey Johnson & Wheeler’s old pal Sturgill Simpson) and backed up by a crack band of Nashville’s finest players, this is what country music is supposed to be."

The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 4th Dec 2014		Vinyl Album The Beatles - Supertracks	This is not a true "TMOQ" label logo. This album was actually issued by "CBM" cat # 1018. TMOQ were renouned for being the best bootleg quality produced LP's at the time. Also this pressing is shy of a couple of tracks that were on the original issue through Highway High Fi Collector's Edition Records HHCER 102.

Excerpts of various songs were played and the segment finished with a full length track appropriate to the interview. Details were not supplied on the sheet but notes have been pencilled in probably by the local station's DJ. This made it difficult for entry onto the site - just did the best I could.

Her recordings on the Tradition label were definitely the best. Saw her in Perth, West Australia many years ago and met her backstage after the concert. Odetta gained the record of having the biggest single audience ever for a solo performer in Perth.
