The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 21st Jun 2023 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Monks Of Weston Priory - Wherever You Go (1972) | Rescued from a heap of rubbish. Had to wash the sleeve to make it look semi respectable. The actual record was in excellent condition. I just couldn't let it go to waste.
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 19th Jun 2023 | | Vinyl AlbumDick Schory's Percussion Pops Orchestra - Holiday For Percussion (1970) | We got cheated by RCA in Australia, only five tracks each side when UK and France got six each side.

The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 9th Apr 2023 | | Vinyl AlbumSupertramp - Crime Of The Century (1975) | The Festival matrix numbers SMX45769, SMX45770 put this in the vicinity of Feb/Mar '75 for initial release.
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 8th Apr 2023 | | Vinyl AlbumRan And Nama - Ran And Nama (1959) | Added a second set of images and edited the track titles (upper and lower case) to match the labels
My copy was distributed locally by Tempo Records as an import.
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 17th Sep 2022 | | Vinyl AlbumTrevor Jones [Australia] - The Art Of The Didjeridu (1963) | With a nod to Kim Challands added a slightly better sleeve front image, plus added sleeve back and label images
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 28th Jul 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Temptations - Cloud Nine (2018) | Something odd about the barcode - GS1 Company Prefix "602".
Here is the GS1 Company Prefix listing where "602" has not been allocated.
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 6th Feb 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumOscar Brand - Bawdy Songs And Backroom Ballads Vol. 1 (1955) | Festival Records had the distribution rights for the Audio Fidelity label in Australia, but was banned from releasing the Oscar Brand "Bawdy Songs" series of albums by the government. I imported the full set without any problems much to Festival's disgust.
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 25th Jan 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumRenee Geyer - Renee Geyer (1973) | The matrix number "CPRS-xxxx" indicates 1973, Popular,12" 33⅓, Stereo.
And yes the re-issue of the album with the VNL cat. number is the one to change, even though it has used the original master for the pressing run.
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 18th Dec 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumBuddy Holly - The Buddy Holly Story (1975) | Add the wildcard before and after *SM 303* and it will find the entry.
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 15th Apr 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumJeff Wayne - Jeff Wayne's Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds (1978) | The booklet that came with the USA release was much better then the Aussie one. Consequently I stocked both local and US imports to let the customer decide which one they wanted.
CBS borrowed my copy of the original radio broadcast and used it in radio adverts to promote this release.
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 17th Mar 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Incredible String Band - "U" (1971) | The matrix numbers fall into 1971.
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 8th Dec 2018 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Golden Horde - In Reality (1986) | With respect to headcoat, added a cleaner sleeve front image, plus others.
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 22nd Mar 2018 | | Vinyl AlbumYma Sumac - Miracles (1972) | But it is still a top album, one of my all time favourites.
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 6th May 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumFunkadelic - Free Your Mind And Your Ass Will Follow (1990) | Hi Lee, I wouldn't mind betting that there could still be some of the original Ace UK pressings floating around in some Australian retailers shelves of stock ex Shock since they were distributing Ace catalogue material (but not very well).
As for Funkadelic this was their second album for Westbound. My favourites are their third and fourth albums, "Magot Brain" and "Cosmic Slop" which I imported from the USA since they were not released in Australia at the time. George Clinton is a great guitarist.
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 17th Mar 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumDuke Ellington - In A Magenta Haze (1965) | When adding a cat #, like here, it really doesn't matter which one is added. When searching by cat # the "space" and "-" is ignored in the search, so if you entered "ALL 796" then it would display all cat #'s that have been entered as "ALL796", ALL-796" and "ALL 796".
When any cat #'s are entered with an alternate # using the "/" as a separator on the same line, for some reason it is only found if you enter your search in exactly the same way as it was entered.
I guarantee that nobody would even think of doing something like that for a search - including me.

The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 25th Jun 2016 | | Vinyl AlbumWheeler Walker Jr - Redneck Shit (2016) | Transferred from notes.
As submitted by VinylTeeka:
"Yes, I know that Wheeler’s debut album is already being called “the filthiest country album in history”. But to merely label it as that would be a crime. It’s one of the finest country albums ever put to wax (or files, or whatever). Eleven songs of the most ass-kicking, moving and heartfelt real country you’ll ever hear.
Produced by the great Dave Cobb (who’s produced Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Jamey Johnson & Wheeler’s old pal Sturgill Simpson) and backed up by a crack band of Nashville’s finest players, this is what country music is supposed to be."
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 30th Nov 2015 | | Vinyl Album[no artist listed] - The Ovaltine Show | The matrix number MX138321 looks around 1963.
The record came to me in a plain paper sleeve.
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 4th Dec 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Beatles - Supertracks | This is not a true "TMOQ" label logo. This album was actually issued by "CBM" cat # 1018.
TMOQ were renouned for being the best bootleg quality produced LP's at the time.
Also this pressing is shy of a couple of tracks that were on the original issue through Highway High Fi Collector's Edition Records HHCER 102.
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 3rd Dec 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumLed Zeppelin - BBC Broadcast (1971) | The "B3" Medley: Whole Lotta Love; Boogie Woogie; That's Alright My Momma; Stop What's That Sound/ Minnesota Blues.
The "Hot Wacks" reference gives the source as "1971 Royal Albert Hall".
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 29th Nov 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumOsibisa - Osibisa (1971) | One of my all time favourite covers. My good wife did an excellent oil painting of the front cover (with a few modifications).
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 7th Nov 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - Soundtrack Of The 60s (1980) | Details are a bit sketchy where a segment involved an interview. Excerpts of various songs were played and the segment finished with a full length track appropriate to the interview. Details were not supplied on the sheet but notes have been pencilled in probably by the local station's DJ.
This made it difficult for entry onto the site - just did the best I could.
The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 1st Nov 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumOdetta - Sings Ballads And Blues (1956) | Fantastic album, just had to get the re-issue on cd. Her recordings on the Tradition label were definitely the best.
Saw her in Perth, West Australia many years ago and met her backstage after the concert.
Odetta gained the record of having the biggest single audience ever for a solo performer in Perth.
