vocalion red 24th May 2018		Vinyl Album Michel Legrand - Vienna Holiday (1956)	Review Although I played this album at least 3 times, I am somewhat disappointed in it's delivery. I am not too familiar with most of the waltzes on the record, but the rendition of Tales of the Vienna Woods on here sounds like a more modern interpretation, (one I do not care for), then the rendition performed on my parent's old album titled, "Just Your Cup Of Tea", performed by Arthur Fiedler, conductor, Boston Pops, 1960. However, the sound quality of the record is substantial. Quality you would expect from Columbia. Just my own opinion. 3 people found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?

vocalion red 27th Nov 2016		Vinyl Album The Beatles - Hey Jude (1970)	I tend to agree FocusB, but at the time I bought this album around 1971/72/73, I was only interested in Rain. My favorites on this album were Rain, Paperback Writer, Hey Jude, and Don't Let Me Down, and maybe, Revolution. (I have to admit, I like "I Should've Known Better" as well) . All the other one's were just there. Maybe I just should'a bought 45 singles. :-)

vocalion red 27th Nov 2016		Vinyl Album The Beatles - Hey Jude (1970)	Discogs mentioned CA. on the page for this album. If they made a mistake, I will replace CA with NYC. I will do this anyway, but you might want to check on this yourself at their site. Look for the 1971 release of Apple-SW-385. I can always change it back to CA later.
vocalion red 23rd Nov 2016		Vinyl Album David Bowie - Aladdin Sane (1973)	I have thoughtfully provided portions of the pertinent areas of my album cover that contain the letters "RE", bottom left on front and back of cover. This most likely stands for re-issue, or re-release. Gee....the other album covers posted don't have this monogram....do they ?

(Apple SW-385) Mastered--Bell Sound Studios, NYC Pressed--Capitol Records Pressing Plant, Jacksonville. Illinois. I really believe that this disc should have it's own entry, and not be amalgamated with previous or later incarnations.

"A Subsidiary of Capitol Industries Inc". Apple is not listed on the label....anywhere. We are talking about a Capitol product.....not an Apple product. The album you referred me to, SW-385, was manufactured by Apple. (It says so on the bottom of the label)

So I think that this page is not the proper place to display it because the release date for this version, as pictured at the top photo, was 1976. Just sayin'. So I was very close to the fact about when I bought this album, and I find that I was on the earlier side of my estimation.

In my opinion, AFL1-4852 does NOT belong displayed on the page for LSP-4852, because AFL1-4852 is a 1980 re-release of the 1973 original issue, which was LSP-4852. For confirmation see the Discogs webpage for this album, in all it's incarnations, (reference # [r 2080547]

Also, differences in font, and differences in location of producer and manufacturer credits, in that some are on top of the name "Rolling Stones", and some are on the bottom, between all examples shown.

vocalion red 27th Apr 2016		Vinyl Album The Beatles - Hey Jude (1976)	I bought this album between 1970 and 1976, (I forget exactly when), new, and factory wrapped from Peaches Records in Michigan. To me, it looks like a marriage between an Apple Records cover jacket, and a Capitol manufactured/marked record with the Apple logo. Catalog # on jacket is "APPLE SW-385".
