frankheussner 27th May 2021		It looks like mine was from the Winchester plant, but the B-Side has the same rim text as the A-Side. (Uploading an image) The gold record award is part of the front cover as well, but still has the Apple back.



vocalion red 27th Nov 2016		I tend to agree FocusB, but at the time I bought this album around 1971/72/73, I was only interested in Rain. My favorites on this album were Rain, Paperback Writer, Hey Jude, and Don't Let Me Down, and maybe, Revolution. (I have to admit, I like "I Should've Known Better" as well) . All the other one's were just there. Maybe I just should'a bought 45 singles. :-)



Focus B ● 27th Nov 2016		They would have done better to feature "The Inner Light" and "Get Back" in place of "Can't Buy Me Love" and "I Should've Known Better" as they'd yet to have true stereo versions released. From what I remember having had a copy nearly 40 years ago was the welcome inclusion of "Rain" in stereo.



vocalion red 27th Nov 2016		Discogs mentioned CA. on the page for this album. If they made a mistake, I will replace CA with NYC. I will do this anyway, but you might want to check on this yourself at their site. Look for the 1971 release of Apple-SW-385. I can always change it back to CA later.



W.B.lbl 24th Nov 2016		I don't know, Apple labels with Capitol logo on the sliced side were pretty prevalent in Jacksonville in 1970, thus would be contemporaneous with the other pressings. It was on Apple, after all . . . oh, and Bell Sound Studios was in New York City. Sam Feldman cut it under the supervision of ABKCO's Al Steckler.



vocalion red 23rd Nov 2016		Mod. transfer of images of Capitol Mfg., Apple logo, disc of Hey Jude album. Re-issue in 1971, of original issue of 1970 SW-385. (Apple SW-385) Mastered--Bell Sound Studios, NYC Pressed--Capitol Records Pressing Plant, Jacksonville. Illinois. I really believe that this disc should have it's own entry, and not be amalgamated with previous or later incarnations.
