whitewhale1965 25th Dec 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumVic West - That Lovely Weekend | exciting liner notes!
Vic West, the man with the friendly warm voice, has just returned from a trip to U.S.A. This album, although recorded before he left, has been delayed being released until his return. However, he took with him a preview copy, which when played in two major American Record Stores, caused minor riots among the record buyers, demanding to obtain a copy of the new voice.
Nobody guessed for a moment that this was a product of "Those People Down Under", indeed a tribute to another great vocal find of this Company.
During his visit he was paid a tremendous fee to be featured Guest Artist for a week on Television with the C.B.S. Hollywood Network, and was assured big money as a Vocal Star, by name agents should he wish to stay in America.
We also take pleasure in welcoming Alto Sax Star of the future, Peter Martin, in his recording debut on this disc.
Incidentally, don't miss Vic West's 45 record "Romantic Moonglow" featuring "Begin The Beguine", Somewhere in France with You", "Moonglow", September Song", "I'll See You In My Dreams".
