Tom Jones - Live In Las Vegas (1969)
This and it's stereo sibling SKL5032 I believe mark the last of the UK released UNBOXED Decca logo labels.

LK 5035 and SKL 5035
Born To Take The Highway - Foggy Dew-O

Vinyl Album
Caravan - If I Could Do It All Over Again I'd Do It All Over You (1970)
First press cat no. SKL 5052 in line with other Stereo Decca releases from this period.
First press with a misprinted sleeve ("If I Had To Do It" on the back cover), dark blue labels and SKL 5052.
Then the Cat number was changed to SKL-R 5052. This is somewhat odd and way out of sequence with other Decca cat numbers of this period.
There are transitional Sleeve SKL 5052 and Label SKL-R 5052 cat no. combinations out there.
This release was just 4 Decca releases (cat no's) after the last Decca Stereo/Mono release. So This just missed the mono option by a smidge.

Vinyl Album
The Moody Blues - To Our Children's, Children's, Children (1969)
FocusB - TH4 Side 2 Candle of life is a minute shorter than the Album version, but on the made in UK for Dutch market release 6101 600 http://www.45cat.com/record/6101600nl we are treated to the full album version. Now that was nice of them:) They also use ZDR not XZDR as on their UK releases (except TH2/2 of course) for stereo. What was going on there?

The Moody Blues - To Our Children's, Children's, Children (1969)
Focus B - I stand corrected. I have every Threshold single TH1 through TH25, but did not re-check, I just checked and you are spot on, with TH2 side 2 alone is mono amongst singles. btw, (TH3 has a lovely wide stereo field). so all checked.

Vinyl Album
The Moody Blues - To Our Children's, Children's, Children (1969)
Apart from an early Threshold singles TH 2 side 2, this Mono LP was 'It' as far as mono releases on Threshold. Decca made a decision to end concurrent mono/stereo versions, sometime April - May 1970 'ish.
So this left a window from Nov 1969 when it 1st appeared through to April 1970. One would assume that there was only 1 batch pressed to cover demand and then that was the lot.

The Zombies - Odessey And Oracle (1968)
I thought I'd check the difference between the mono and stereo versions of Care of Cell 44 and I was stunned to see that the mono version (supposedly the original mix) is 45 secs shorter than the stereo mix, the tracks remain largely the same until about 2.40 secs in when things start to alter radically, with the mono finishing at 3.07 and the stereo (with added repeating verses) finishing at 3.53 approx. Worth checking out if you have the time! Obviously, I have too much time, but hey, aren't we all nerdy somehow being part of this website. (see image 1661421)

Donovan - Donovan's Greatest Hits (1969)
So instead of it being called, Donovan's Greatest Hits, it should've been titled
The compiler's Greatest Favourites from the Donovan Canon.
(when I purchased my copy when it came out, I must admit a lot of the songs were unfamiliar so, it was an LP of newly released stuff).

Kaleidoscope - Faintly Blowing (1969)
The 1970's Aldershot was a rich picking ground treasure trove for me and many valuable bits of vinyl. Sadly Kaleidoscope was not one of them, I had never heard of them before 45cat came along and I blame BBC Radio 1 for that, as I listened all throught the mid to late sixties into 1970's and their music never crossed my path.
One particular item that sticks in my mind is >>>>>>

Vinyl Album
Caravan - In The Land Of Grey And Pink (1971)
russh29 YQ... but the brown labels on this entry uploaded by "thepretender" are the 2nd type you referred to ? does 2nd type mean 2nd pressing or were two label types used on the first pressing...

A. No it means nothing specific, NOT 2nd Pressing, it only gives a guide to the point in time when it was pressed. example, if it had small Deram on brown label - that identifies it to be the first run of vinyl that used a stack of labels from the printer in that style, between April 1971 - Late 1971. If the vinyl was given a brown label with larger DERAM text size, this would confirm the vinyl was pressed sometime between March 1972 - May 1972 that used a stack of labels printed up with the larger text and so on with the red labels. It is likely that some months never saw a DERAM record pressed up so there will be some months missing, as in Late 1971 to March 1972 etc.
(Note this is my interpretation of data from Labelography Volume 2 by Jan Pettersson, who is a guru of these things (apparently).

I've revisited the Labelography book vol 2. Suffice to say the Deram label story is a complex entity.
For the purposes of this Caravan record, the coloured labels shown are referred to thus. The Slightly Orange, Red Deram label shown 1st is known as type #24.
2nd brown large Deram are know as type #22 and type #23. the difference between the #22 & #23 is that in type #22 the date sits at the bottom, type #23 date sits right side middle. Type #21 is now shown and resembles type #22 but with small Deram brown label. This is the 1st type that ITLOGAP appeared on and is 1st press.

Pretty Things - Parachute (1970)
Lot of harmonies in the vocals which are somewhat tucked away centre at too low a
volume for my liking, bit more 'out front' vocals would've sealed a good album.
