ZackMcBuick SUBS 23rd Aug 2024		Vinyl Album The Animals - The Animals On Tour (1965)	There were a series of these L.P.'s for both Animals and Hermits that issued on both MGM and Quality (with different catalog nos.). My initial research into this is that the MGM issues date to 1964 and 1965 and the Quality issues only start in 1966. Why this happened is unclear, but my guess is that it is linked to some sort of legal or business issue apropos Mickie Most / Reverse Corp. Many of the release dates for the Quality issues herein are clearly incorrect (as they are often quoted as the same year as the initial MGM release). The Mods need to sort this out. It also seems that the later Animals' issues of 1966 (Animalisms, Animalization) only were released on MGM (Canada). I suspect this may have to do with those releases no longer being part of the Mickie Most / Reverse Corp., realm. Re SWR's 1/22/2024 comment

ZackMcBuick SUBS 19th Nov 2023		Vinyl Album The Gentrys - Keep On Dancing (1965)	Pinpointing the month of release of L.P.'s is not always easy, but I would say that Nov. 1965 is likely as "Keep on Dancing" had crept onto two local charts as follows: WPLO 590 AM - Atlanta - Nov. 19, 1965 WAVZ 1300 AM - New Haven, Conn. - Nov. 27, 1965 Also, the L.P. also gets a "spot" in R.W. on p. 32 of the Nov. 27, 1965 issue re booming M.G.M. sales. ZackMcBuick SUBS 13th Oct 2023		Vinyl Album The Animals - The Animals (1964)	My experience has been similar to SWR's - I don't think I've ever seen this version of the Canadian copy despite living within the Dominion for 60+ years and spending a lot of time inside of record stores and at trade shows. Re SeverlyWarpedRecord (28th Sep 2023): For some reason the American version of this album is more common where I’m from in Canada

ZackMcBuick SUBS 9th Oct 2022		Vinyl Album The McCoys - The McCoys (1966)	This and the stereo issue (Bang B-213) are listed as Sept. 1966 issues. Track A1 is Say Those Magic Words, which was eventually issued as a 45 ca Aug. 1967 and made a few local charts at that later timeframe. Curiously, well before its issuance as a 45 it also shows up at no. 70 on the local WFUN 790 AM charts in Miami, Fla. for the week of July 15-21, 1966. So, if this L.P. was released in Sept. 1966 how could have WFUN possibly listed the track on the local charts in this two-month earlier timeframe? Wouldn’t that mean they had access to either a pre-release of the L.P., the 45 or to Bang/McCoys press releases or the like. That being said, is it possible that this L.P. was released earlier than Sept. 1966 and specifically in July 1966? If not, how did WFUN get wind of Say Those Magic Words? Sidenote: July 1966 was the timeframe when You Make Me Feel So Good was having a chart run of its own. Did WFUN confuse the titles? This track also appears on this L.P. ARSA - source

(1985)	re B5: Although the composer credit set out here is as per how it is set out on the label/jacket, the composer is one person, Urban Lasson, not two persons: Urban, Lasson. Also, the song as originally done by The Namelosers was published under the title, "But I'm So Blue" (being one of the lyrics in the song). See Namelosers - I'm So Blue
