Part of the De Agostini Vinyl Collection.
180g vinyl. Re-issue of 2012 remastered LP, as a special product by De Agostini.
The LP forms part of a package including a 'magazine' (actually a large, eight-page booklet with sleeve notes and photos), hardy magazine holder for this and the rest of the proposed set, large poster and further marketing material.
The LP is housed in black, poly-lined inner sleeve. Labels and sleeve name De Agostini in the small print, which previous pressings do not.
Listed here as a UK release since all marketing is in GB currency, and English language, despite labels stating the record was made in EU.
The final track, Her Majesty, is not listed on the label or on the sleeve.
I subscribed for this via Di Agostini. A good friend had already bought me this issue which I still have shrink wrapped with all the extras still in place. I didn't have the heart to say anything other than - Wow, that's great, thanks a lot. Got a few copies of Abbey Road now !!!
Regarding country of release - Made in Europe does not necessary mean issued for sale in Europe. If someone can confirm they are for general sale elsewhere then yes amend the listing to Europe/International or what ever.
The Jazz on 33 series issued by De Agostini have been entered as UK release with a qualifying note stating "Released in UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa as a partwork by De Agostini, Vol no. XX in the Jazz on 33⅓ Series." mainly because I believe they are available there but have not yet had any collectors from those countries confirm it.
De Agostini are an Italian company but issue stuff worldwide but not necessarily making them available at the same time. A good example is this collection which started a few years ago but I can't get my hands on here in the UK.
As all records say MADE IN EU , it should be listed as such.
All LP's are pressed in France by MPO as scratched in the dead wax and are identical in all countries, only the booklets and packages are different. At current the series runs in Italy, UK, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and Japan.
One of the interesting tax things (that may change post brexit and rules on VAT %'s) is that reading matter printed is Zero VAT, CDs and the like Standard Rated, Free attached giveaways to papers or magazines are normally VAT Rated with the periodical, but sometimes have their own pro-rata to cost VAT for sales purposes. So far as I know - Eire , like France, magazines and papers are Standard VAT rated.
I succumbed yesterday, went to our local large Tesco and bought this, and then signed up for the series online.
The packaging of the issue I bought is different from that uploaded by TopPopper, so I've added scans of it, together with the various marketing leaflets that came with my package.
The packaging indicates that this will be on sale in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, so I guess we ought to change this release to International?
Listed as a UK release. I'm not aware this is being marketed elsewhere and the pricing is very predominantly in GB currency. Prices in Euros are given on some of the leaflets and marketing stuff thrown in, but these aren't fundamentally part of the product. Other indications of UK-only include the fact that subscription form asks for address and postcode, not country.
