....seeing the ticket stub, as mentioned on 45worlds elsewhere, I also attended a matinee performance in Aug. 1974, it may have been on the same day as above, I cannot be sure, but I was sitting over on the right hand side, where the pianist Barbara Dickson (we all know that now!!) was seated on the stage.
I do recall thinking "who's that bird with the shrill voice playing the piano that keeps butting in with snippets of Beatle songs, and why doesn't she just shut up...."
The highlight for me was when the actors all came out in their Sgt. Pepper uniforms....magical history tour de force......lol.
