Notes Production supervisor Jac Holzman.
All songs adapted and arranged by Oscar Brand.
Mono release is EKL-174.
For the cover photo, Elektra's art director, William S. Harvey, posed as the drill instructor; Oscar Brand as the recruit.
There are two cover versions, both of which exist for the mono LP, with slight differences in design:
1. Harvey wears a garrison cap with Marines emblem (withdrawn)
2. Harvey wears a drill instructor's cap with brim

Comments and Reviews edlongus SUBS ● 31st Dec 2023 Release month added, based on Page 46 of the 13 February 1960 issue of The Cash Box Magazine, under February Album Releases (Mono and Stereo).
I note that the Mono issue in 45worlds shows a September 1959 release, so my information source may be incorrect?!? annaloog 31st Dec 2023 Light blue early "Stereo" label images added, that came with my Type 1 cover design copy. annaloog 29th Jun 2019 The red labels [images #844223 and 844224] are from a 1969-1970s re-pressing. TheDroid 10th Feb 2017 The original cover had a brimless hat on the "drill instructor", which was corrected to the type of hat shown here. BEATLEJOHN 10th Feb 2017 I remember that my Dad had this album with a different cover, the Sargent had a different hat....John
