Added original stereo jacket from 1962 as well as mid-60's white logo label, 1967 white logo flat label variation and 1971 flexible orange vinyl label.
Hi 78rpm-maniac, the date that we use here is the earliest date that the record was issued under this catalogue number, and then the different pressing variations are all added to the same entry, unlike Discogs which has separate entries for each pressing variation, which are more properly called represses rather than reissues, the latter term really only applies when a record goes out of print and then is released again later, usually with a completely different catalogue number.
Hi, LSP-2523/LPM-2523 for mono, is the correct number for the first issue and some later re-issues. The RCA inscription in that design on the Label you have uploaded is later pressing. The US pressings from the early 1960s have the RCA Victor inscription on top with the Nipper-Dog-Gramophone Logo below. The recordings are from 1962 NOT the record itself. It is the same procedure with the German first issues and their re-issues under the use of the old cat.-nr.
@78rpm. No, the information is correct. The images used are from a later pressing, but 45worlds catalogs based on Cat #, so all it means is someone needs to add images of the original RCA Victor release. All the other information is accurate, and the later pressing retained the original cat #. This is NOT the case with all Elvis repressings, however, so if Pot Luck was ever reissued by RCA with a different Cat # then they'd need to create a new entry for it.
