The above album is the original collection of Hawaiian songs recorded by Connie Francis. The instrumental backings are those recorded on February 20-22, 1968 and on which Connie overdubbed her vocals on the 13th, 18th & 19th of March, 1968. These sessions included the introduction to I'LL REMEMBER YOU and the complete version of HAPPY HOURS. On March 28 & 29, 1968 and April 1, 1968, large scale overdubbing of additional instruments and mixing took place, with the intention of creating a "pop" sound. Suffering greatly as a result, the USA "pop" collection on MGM SE 4522 was further marred by the removal of the introduction to I"LL REMEMBER YOU and "shortening" of HAPPY HOURS.

The above set had, by 1983, only been officially released in Britain and Japan. The British LP is housed in a different sleeve which, instead of using the Hawaiian-style pose of Connie, chose to feature a shot of pink and white water lilies as evidenced by the scan provided.

All of the selections on the above release include original accompaniment.
