| | Funny how the Columbia Terre Haute is the only one that doesn't say, "STEREO" on the left end of the white bar!
When this album first came out I was in my first year of high school and most of us called the album, "Zoso". Even some of the radio jocks called it that for a number of years. |

| | Makes one wonder if regular stock copies were made in Pitman with the 'CP' suffix on the label; as except for that insert with the CTH, the label fonts were otherwise Pitman. |

| | From what I've gathered on that other site, which lists deadwax info, such pressings listed 'F.T.' in said runouts. Which would point to Fidelatone of Hawthorne, CA being a backup presser. |

Side One Δ 16345.
Side Two Δ 16345-X.
Also added two stickers that were on the cover of the originals of this release. |

| | Just adding my two cents to the title mystery...
Every Atlantic or Warner, WEA, etc., distributor catalog I've ever seen has always listed the album title as "Untitled". Therefore, I've always felt it safe to say the official title is Untitled. |

| | The first symbol is Jimmy Page, the second one is John Paul Jones, the third one is John Bonham and the fourth is Robert Plant.
Anyone who has seen footage of their concerts will remember the first symbol being on Page's amp, the second being on the side of JP Jones' keyboard, the third being on the front of Bonham's drums and the feather symbol was on one of Plant's amps. |

| | Nobody called the album "Four Symbols" in 1972 or 1973, these were only smartass writers in later years. |

nboldock 4th Jul 2014
| | I'm sure I recall it being referred to somewhere as "Four Symbols" as well but that always struck me as rather daft. |
fixbutte 4th Jul 2014
| | It was called "Led Zeppelin IV" from the beginning, and we already did so before the next (fifth) album came out. You had to call it distinguishably, just "Led Zeppelin" was rather their first album, and nobody said "Runes Album" or "Untitled" or something like that then. It was listed as "Led Zeppelin IV" very early on different charts in Billboard (e.g. Feb 1972) though apparently not on the Top LPs chart, but in later months (e.g. March 1974) also there. |
nboldock 4th Jul 2014
| | I don't think there will ever be a definitive answer to this question! However I think the way we have done it is right.
I've always called it Led Zeppelin IV even though it's not really called that, officially.
Much like the White Album it's an odd case that perhaps can be allowed to bend the rules. |
TopPopper 4th Jul 2014
| | Isn't the title "Led Zeppelin"? Comparing the White Album, that just says "The Beatles" on it, but is officially called The Beatles. |
Carouselambra SUBS 4th Jul 2014
| | It would be obvious to call it Led Zeppelin IV if the album that followed were called Led Zeppelin V, but it wasn't. Personally, I've always called it "Led Zeppelin's Untitled Fourth Album" and have even gone so far as to leave the album title line blank on my Ipod. |

Bill Fick 2nd Jul 2014
| | Back when this was a current LP, I bought only 45's, but I heard "Stairway To Heaven" on WLS & initially played hell trying to find out which LP it was on. Didn't know at first that it was on this LP because it had no markings whatsoever. Finally, Atlantic Records starting putting a sticker on the shrink-wrap stating, "This album contains 'Stairway To Heaven'"... |

Carouselambra SUBS 29th Jun 2014
| | Just being a stickler here, but shouldn't the title of the album be left blank? This album was released without a title and any thing that people have called it over the years is not official. Perhaps we could put (unofficial) after the existing title as it was listed under the Billboard charts - "Led Zeppelin IV (unofficial)"? |
