Hi. These are tricky. Just added 1987 Rainbow label SMAL2835 final edition, before 1988 Purple with new issue number. Note this has labels without “STEREO” indicator. Song titles match font from other pressings for all 1987 US editions of UK album format of Please Please Me through Revolver. No inner 24 page comic booklet inside this one. Purple stripe on front cover. Beatle Lew.

Added variant cover, gatefold and label images for 1978 reissue. The differences are as follows:

The 24-page full color picture book was not included.

front cover variant:
- purple strip in place of "Includes 24-page full color picture book"

gatefold (left) variant:
- full catalog number SMAL 2835 above the Capitol and EMI logos (lower left)
- no "apple [picture of apple ®] presents" (upper right)
- The following text is removed after "SPLENDID!": "The story begins on Page 7 . . . or 8 . . . ."

back cover variant:
- Capitol Records logo (lower left)
- EMI logo (lower right)
- single line of text between the Capitol Records logo and the EMI logo

label variant:
maroon label

The right gatefold is the same as {Image #451258}.
