Sex Pistols - Anarchy Live At The 76 Club
The Saints were far too good as musicians to be getting tagged as mere Punks, which they patently were not. They probably were more closely associated with the Pub Rock scene, where unfortunately these bands although celebrated weren't known for selling too many records.
At least they made 2 great singles, (I'm) Stranded and (This) Perfect Day, which is more than can be said for most of the rubbish released during that period.

Paul Simon - Graceland
This CD sounds way better than the Legacy remaster version of a few years back where the whole thing sounded flatlined with no depth or dynamics - a horrible job. I sold that on and this original is my keeper.

Robert Plant And Alison Krauss - Raising Sand
In terms of having a voice, I doubt you'd be able to hear her behind a bus ticket.
Check out the DVD's of her with Plant - she's really nothing special at all.
But that's a common issue with the majority of US country singers as their voices are so untrained and unable to propel themselves - as per as an example Diamanda Galas.

Rolling Stones - Blue & Lonesome
Lee, I hear what you're saying but I can't agree on some of your review.
The Stones recorded this album over just 3 days in December 2015. By no means was this a big production or of major product standing and I think it's important to know this.
It was completely irrelevant to the contemporary music scene.
As for the content being highly predictable? I really don't think so. By no means are all the songs classics or well known and I reckon only half of them are such.
To compare this with their very first album back in 1964 is ludicrous - they are worlds apart in production values, musical ability and musical knowledge.
Jagger's vocals and harmonica playing are exemplary here.
The playing is extremely modern in approach and negates any need to imitate the blatant commercialism of the previously mentioned Hooker albums.
These recordings are of a band all playing together live simultaneously in the same room - at no time were any performances "flown in" as overdubs.
This idea that the Stones songwriting team have been off form for many years is somewhat incongruous, namely because the Stones haven't made a new self-written album since 2005, and have produced just 2 songs for inclusion with their 50th anniversary collection, Grrr! in 2012.
This album is really just an example of what the Stones do every time they go into the studio to record a new album. They always hold pre-production jam sessions before proper recording, where they knock around a few ideas and run through old stuff like this just to warm up. Come recording sessions proper, the archive session lists inform that songs such as these pepper just about every session the Stones have recorded these last 50 odd years. The Stones' blues repertoire is immense.

Lee, this 2011 remaster does surpass any previous release and noticeably, too. It is very good sound quality. The bonus tracks are just the cherry on the top.
Quite why they left off Everything Is Turning To Gold, I'll never know.

Hi Lee, well, put it this way, it's definitely worth hearing and a few of the tracks are pretty good, such as So Young (which turned up later as a 1994 Voodoo Lounge period B-side), Claudine - a rather cutting attack on Andy Williams' murderous ex-wife, and even the Country tinged (my least favourite Stones music) Do You Think I Really Care is passable.
But I don't think they necessarily tarted up all the best tracks available as I have a bootleg with a load more of these sessions - listed here, titled 'Made In The Shade 1978'.
That said, if Jagger's objective was to make a selection of all the different types of songs from the sessions then he probably achieved that as they are quite a variety and not just all Rock 'N Roll numbers.

Lee, you've just proved that without hardcopy evidence the information can go tits up. I don't trust anywhere for information, as so often it is inaccurate. The only accuracy I can trust is what lies physically before me and that's the only information I can enter.

No, I never check. I only list as International if I'm personally certain of it and had bought a disc in another territory.
I can only list CD's that I own as I find them.
I bought this on day of release in UK and wouldn't have a clue about South America or anywhere else and if changes need to be made ie Europe changed to International, I'd like to see hard proof such as a scan.
