The inner slv is an advert for "The Warner/ Reprise Loss Leaders". Compilations that were only available by mail order.

carryonsidney ● 9th Jan 2015		Vinyl Album The Duke Of Paducah - At The Fair	Just picked this up in chazzer today. This is basically a spoken word/ comedy album interpersed with dubbed music tracks. The "Duke" was Benjamin Francis Ford. track A1 is George Jones - it doesn't even start till about 10 minutes in.!! The music is a good selection of STARDAY artists.
carryonsidney ● 5th Nov 2014		Vinyl Album Teresa Brewer - Teresa Brewer	Despite what the label says the tracks were recorded in 1949 almost certainly in New York by The Dixieland All Stars: Jack Pleis, Ernie Casceres, Max Kaminsky, Cutty Cutshall, George Wettling, Ed Safranski and Danny Perri. In what was probably a highly unusual move for those days Teresa Brewer actually restricted her live appearances in 1950's+60's while she raised her family, I think it is highly likely she never even set foot in England until the end of the 60's early 70's?

carryonsidney ● 28th Aug 2014		Vinyl Album The Who - The Who By Numbers	On my sleeve the cat appears to be De Luxe 2490 129, the sleeve is numbered [79391 on mine] and printed by MacNeil Press Ltd, its also featured a small footnote Available on "musicassette" and 8 Track cartridge. Curiously the record is made in Holland.

I think its an RC mistake myself, there was a promotional poster out at the time, you can see it here but.. as you can see in photo its never been folded into an lp sleeve. I think it was probably given away or sold on their first tour maybe?
carryonsidney ● 18th Aug 2014		Vinyl Album Status Quo - From The Makers Of....	apparently PRO LP 1 made it to number 4 in the charts (13th Nov 82) and on the charts for 18 weeks, this is highly unlikely to be a limited release at all by any standard! My copy doesnt have a number on it.

carryonsidney ● 8th Jul 2014		Vinyl Album The Syndromes Vs The Merciful Release All-Stars Featuring The Impossible Dreamers - Ready In The Rhythm Section	I havent been over here for a while so I am pleased to see this pop up, personally I rate this album as one of the best I have, I picked my copy up in about 1986 for about 20p and have played it at least once a year ever since. Silly me I could have bought more of them at the time..
