B1: EXODUS/HAVA NAGILAH medley culled from MGM SE 4298 CONNIE FRANCIS SINGS THE ALL TIME INTERNATIONAL HITS.
B2: THOSE WERE THE DAYS is a "live" recording culled from a concert held by Connie Francis in Romania. It was first issued commercially in Britain on POLYDOR 2391 302 CONNIE FRANCIS SINGS JEWISH FAVOURITES.
B4: ELI ELI, released for the first time on this album, was originally recorded on July 23rd, 1960 during the recording sessions responsible for the original Jewish collection. Following the decision not to include the recording on JEWISH FAVORITES, it went "missing" for more than 20 years. The backing track was "re-discovered" in 1982, to which Connie added a new vocal in the summer of that year. The original vocal remains "lost".
Album compiled by Connie Francis and Pat Niglio under the direction of George Scheck for GGC Productions.
This album was simultaneously released on cassette (see CTB-1-5411) and assigned Polydor International catalog number of 2354 175. It should be noted that the consecutive following international number of 2354 176 was assigned to MGM MGB-1-5410 which precedes this entry.
This is the second compilation of Jewish selections to be marketed in the USA and features 6 of the original 12 contained on MGM E/SE 3869 CONNIE FRANCIS SINGS JEWISH FAVORITES.

A demo of I'M ME AGAIN was cut in New York on September 12th, 1979 and another on November 3rd, 1979. confranfan SUBS 26th May 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumConnie Francis - Connie Francis Sings The Songs Of Les Reed | This album was the last to be recorded by Connie Francis for MGM Records and the final compilation to appear in the MGM E/SE series. It was, perhaps appropriately, cut in London, the venue for most of her biggest selling albums. Shortly after its release, MGM was taken over by Polydor when it became the first Connie Francis LP to be assigned an international catalog number of 2315 007.

confranfan SUBS 26th May 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumConnie Francis - The Wedding Cake | The back of the jacket to this release reproduces twenty of Connie's albums in the SE series of covers, among them SE 3853 CONNIE FRANCIS SINGS SPANISH AND LATIN AMERICAN FAVORITES. This particular reproduction is of the proposed new sleeve which was to have accompanied the BLUE/GOLD label edition but which never materialized. The picture, however, was used on the German edition of SPANISH FAVORITES on MGM 665046.
ANOTHER PAGE had been originally issued on the single MGM K 13665 in January 1967 and had been recorded with YOU KNOW YOU'RE NOT FORESAKEN on 20 December 1966. All other selections were recorded in January & February 1969. Surprising, and unsatisfying, this package did not include OVERHILL UNDERGROUND which formed the "B" side to the singles release of THE WEDDING CAKE on MGM K 14034, nor other worthy titles cut at the same sessions [MILK AND HONEY & LINCOLN STREET CHAPEL]
