Chuck Berry - Oh Baby Doll / Lajaunda (Espanol)
Added label variations, too. I ended up buying this again because the previous one was cracked in pieces (in shipping - before I got it), so I was glad to find slightly different one. Also in my top 5 of Chuck's.

Elvis Presley - Baby Let's Play House / I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone
My two (3) copies have the same label layout, but the other one has clearly fainter letters (= my upload). Does that count as a variation, maybe for someone…?

Something for the friends of dead wax (shellac) :
both copies are similar pressing with " u-142 , 72 / u-143 , 72 ".
The one with clear letters has the reverse " M.S.I.CO " (Philadelphia pressing) both sides,
the difference is that the faint lettered one is without (Memphis pressing??).
Third copy clear letters: A = M.S.I.CO, u-143-2 , 72 . B = u-142 , 72 .

So, my added images here do not match this issue - I moved them to the European (German 1984?) bootleg.

Gene Vincent - Gene Vincent Story Vol.4
Two different distributors.
2C 064-81.084 = Pathe Marconi
2S 064-81.084 = Sonopresse

As the Sonopresse (2S) cover advertises 2C series in the upper left corner of the gatefold sleeve, the Pathe Marconi (2C) one seems to be the first issue.
Too simple? …yes. For the first 4 volumes in these series all three color variations also exist: green (1st), red (2nd) and purple (3rd). And someone may still have something to clarify or add to this - I own two red label versions only.

Little Richard - Heeby-Jeebies / She's Got It
Looking at the company sleeve - "Heeby Jeebies" seems to have been the A side.
(and the other site of this bag advertises Ronnex releases of completely different genre)

Correct you are, Boursin. I didn't notice Heaven when adding the images. Will have to create another entry for the bootleg then.

Earl Peterson - Boogie Blues / In The Dark
Added my images of labels, similar to previous but without the dark circles - which are seen in many other Sun's 78s, too. Maybe clear to most, but could someone explain to me why they are there?

Gene Vincent - A Gene Vincent Record Date
Tax code ET for the newly uploaded images (thicker cover):
A side = T1 1059-1N, O, 2

Tax code XT for the previous images (thinner cover):

Label difference just in some of the copyrights.

Elvis Presley - Baby Let's Play House / I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone
Nothing to do with the images here… But surely the now rare 1973 repro was already vinyl, then again it is not original. The question remains - were some of the original Sun 78's pressed on half-flexible material during the era?

Added images. These are from an early '80s reissue (or perhaps a bootleg?): not the original, not the All-Platinum pressing either.

Ok, i had to check my old record list now… the inner sleeve came with this record. Bought new - from Bear Family records - in July 1984, and was found in their 1984 catalogue, too. Felt like bootleg then, still does.

The Five Satins - The Five Satins Greatest Hits
ppint., thanks, i agree. i just checked how beautifully this whole relic distributed line was uploaded here with labels as main images. a bit confusing for the label and differs from most of the other distributor/label series, yes, but helpful if you want to follow and understand the catalogue numbers. because of that, umm, guess i'd leave it like this for now anyway.

Gene Vincent - Woven Sew-on Patch
I bought this in summer of 1981, London. Had it sewn on my leather jacket sleeve from 1981 to 2011, then got another one of old stock, pictured here...
The same patch can be found on Brian Setzer's jacket sleeve, see the Stray Cats' Gonna Ball album (1981) rear cover, here..
