OldMod67 19th Jul 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumManfred Mann - Mann Made / The Five Faces Of Manfred Mann | I remember buying this from a little record shop in Swanage, Dorset. Nice to get them, but weird that their second album is the lead record of the set. And with the first album only getting a mono release originally, they could have put the mono version of Mann Made on here too, for consistency....

OldMod67 12th Jul 2020 | | Cassette AlbumVarious Artists - R&B Truffle | Cassette undated, purchased in UK mid 80s.

OldMod67 11th Jul 2020 | | BookEuro Football - Figurine Panini | ..and another one. I was absolutely obsessed with collecting the Dutch first when this came out -
and I did! I do recall the cover becoming detached; wonder where it is now?

OldMod67 9th Jul 2020 | | 12" SingleThe Dream Academy - Please Please Please | Not sure if it warrants another entry but some copies came shrinked with the 12" of Life In A Northern Town. It did have a cat no. NEG 20 TF on the wrap.
OldMod67 9th Jul 2020 | | Vinyl Album1910 Fruitgum Co. / Ohio Express - 1910 Fruitgum Co And Ohio Express | Pub date on label 1968, nothing on sleeve; cat number sequence (If accurate) puts it at '69.
OldMod67 8th Jul 2020 | | BookGilbert Shelton - The Collected Adventures Of The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers | They did indeed! My original thought was on maybe 45 spaces, as someone I knew years ago had 'world' for modzines. But the 'comic' is sadly lacking; comics and graphic novels would be very welcome categories when 'The Powers ' are able to add them on. I look forward to any more you're adding!
Thanks again.

OldMod67 8th Jul 2020 | | BookGilbert Shelton - The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers | @Bodston. This is interesting as I stopped at #10, The Idiots Abroad, part three.
I haven't found mine (hope that wasn't nicked too) but there was also a newspaper called, I think, The Freak Flyer available for a really limited time. I only had the one issue, but maybe that was all there was?
OldMod67 8th Jul 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Times - Enjoy | @JamesTrash. Yeah It was definitely delayed and being trailed in the November modzine. Having now realised I'd taped my copy 4.12.86, November seems correct. Always thought Artpop! was a cool label and the numbering a nice quirk, same with the singles.
OldMod67 8th Jul 2020 | | BookGilbert Shelton - The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers In "Grass Roots" | 'I Wish I'd bought' moment # 23 : in the mid eighties or so, a hardcover, full colour version from a comic shop in Bournemouth. It was gone on my next visit....
OldMod67 8th Jul 2020 | | BookGilbert Shelton - Further Adventures Of Those Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers | Also issued with the cover having an orange skyline.
OldMod67 8th Jul 2020 | | BookGilbert Shelton - The Collected Adventures Of The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers | Wow, I'm so glad these are being added. By the time I thought about it my scanner was kaput, so I passed. None of mine are barcoded and some have no ISBN, some like #1 were £1.00 in the UK, going up to £1.25 at issue #7. Unfortunately I lent some to my cousin in the late 80s and he was burgled, so I'm missing numbers 3 & 4. I only recently dug them out to show my son (Rip Off and others too) Thanks for adding these, many a good giggle with these in my youth!
OldMod67 7th Jul 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Times - Enjoy | Further to my comment, whilst on furlough inspired rummage I found one of my many cassettes that I used to record for playing on train journeys etc in the 80s. It featured latest two Times albums, Up Against It and Enjoy. I'd even been efficient and noted my recording date on my glorious old Akai system: 4.12.86
Still doesn't solve my 2-87 inner sleeve though, or perhaps I've just read too much into this...?
OldMod67 7th Jul 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Beatles - Yellow Submarine | @an6y66 re the barcoded sleeve, my first (non-barcoded) copy was bought 1980/81, which I later replaced due to slight surface noise on George Martin's highly underrated score. The next copy was the barcoded one you've added, with the joined text and I bought that around 1987.
OldMod67 6th Jul 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumGo-Go's - Beauty And The Beat | Sleeve design on mine is the one that's primarily blue.
Side One run out: SP. 70021-A STERLING
Side Two run out: SP. 70021-B- STERLING

OldMod67 4th Jul 2020 | | BookFootball 78 - Figurine Panini | @cannyuk. That may just be too depressing to contemplate! I still haven't found my Man From U.N.C.L.E car.....
OldMod67 4th Jul 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumSmall Faces - Big Hits | Mine came in a regular sleeve, but I do recall one friend being given a copy later which had a gatefold sleeve (I presume this was out first). The inner gatefold had a sleeve note and photos that (I think) had been featured in Richard Barnes' Mods! book.
Side One run out : V-2166-A1 A PORKY PRIME CUT
Side Two run out: V-2166-B3 TOWNHOUSE

OldMod67 4th Jul 2020 | | BookThe Residents - The Residents: An Almost Complete Collection Of Lyrics | And what a fabulous rear cover pic, thanks!
OldMod67 1st Jul 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumBangles - All Over The Place | Regarding this pressing listed as 'Europe', from what I can see on my small screen, is this not the same as the later red label pressing listed as a Dutch edition? This also has Made in Holland on the bottom of the rear sleeve, with Ganton Street, London address. My orange label 'made in Holland' copy was certainly in the UK shops back then, so is this a duplicate entry? If so, is Europe it's natural resting place..?

OldMod67 29th Jun 2020 | | 12" SingleSlab! - Smoke Rings | MPO pressing.
OldMod67 27th Jun 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - The Stax/Volt Revue Volume 2 Live In Paris | I've not entered a release date for this yet, it's mid-eighties though.
I bought a load of these reissued Stax/Atlantic LPs as Canadian imports in the mid-late 80s.
All came straight off the shelf from major London retailers.
OldMod67 27th Jun 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Barry Gray Orchestra - No Strings Attached | This edition is a 12" , not a 10" . Correction submitted.

OldMod67 27th Jun 2020 | | TVDiff'rent Strokes (1978 - 1986) | Mary Ann Mobley also played the role of April Dancer in one episode of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. but was replaced by Stefanie Powers when The Girl From U.N.C.L.E. got its one-season series.

Speciality pressing.

OldMod67 24th Jun 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumSam And Dave - Hold On, I'm Comin' | I've not entered a release date for this yet. I bought a load of these reissued Stax/Atlantic LPs as Canadian imports in the mid-late 80s so assume they date from around that time. All came straight off the shelf from major London retailers.
OldMod67 24th Jun 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumOtis Redding - The Soul Album | @PhilMH. Yes, that's the one! I picked up a few of these imports, with a mixture of labels. My Dictionary Of Soul has the green top Atlantic label, but stranger, my copy of Soul Ballads has the same Atco label, but for some reason the regular release sleeve has been replaced with a colour picture from the '67 Monterey gig..
