Big Bill Broonzy - Black Brown And White (Get Back, Get Back) / Feelin' Low Down
I remember the Mike Raven programmes and still have a few recorded on tape. These include a prog where he played the Johnny Burnette trio 10" Coral LP. This resulted in the record being reissued on Ace of Hearts label.

Quite a few earlier London 78's had this letter N. What does it signify?

Billy Cotton - Under The Willow Tree / Symphony
Yesterday I saw about 50 Billy Cotton 78's for sale, quite a few having the red REX labels.
They were £1 each so I didn't buy any.

Don Porto's Accordion Band - For You Rio Rita / Give Me Your Hand Little Lady
By a strange coincidence I have just spotted one of the SC ones on ebay:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/St-James-Church-London-The-First-Nowell-8-78-ECLIPSE-SC22-/360592795309?pt=UK_Records&hash=item53f50166ad

Don Porto's Accordion Band - For You Rio Rita / Give Me Your Hand Little Lady
This is one of several eclipse records I have added to 78worlds.
They used to belong to my mother. One other she had which I stupidly sold years ago had the songs: 'There's a Song in Every Bottle' and 'What Should You Give a Nudist for her Birthday'. I have recollections that there was also one with a blue label.

Johnny And The Hurricanes - Rocking Goose / Revival
I have now looked in the NME for the period and although there are Decca Company adverts for HL9142, 9162 and 9190 they make no mention of a 78 issue. On the other hand the advert for 9121 (Ricky Nelson) says it is available as a 78 altho my Paul Peletier London listing doesn't give this as a 78.

Johnny And The Hurricanes - Rocking Goose / Revival
Interestingly the last London 78 listed in the New Records catalogue and in the Gramophone Popular Record Catalogue is HLW9104.
9111, 9134, 9142, 9157, 9161, 9162, 9188 and 9190 are listed as 45 only.
The last 78 in the New Records is Nov. 1960: Oriole CB1567: Phil Tate Orch.: Never on Sunday

The other day I saw this Carmen Miranda picture disc in a charity shop. Went back later to get it but it was gone.

Al Morgan - Jealous Heart / Turnabout Is Fair Play
Numbers below 500 were issued in the US (without the L prefix). The earliest of these on this site is 121. For some reason L501 and L506 were issued in the UK before L500.

Elvis Presley - Paralyzed / When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold Again
A few months ago I received a 78 record wrapped in a similar way. It is in two parts. It came from a place near Bristol.

Louis Levy And His Concert Orchestra - Cole Porter Suite No. 1 / Cole Porter Suite No. 4
B.12004 and B.12005 would have been issued as a pair (album). The sides are arranged for playing on an autochange. i.e. parts 1 and 4 back to back on one disc and parts 2 and 3 on another.
