Both the instrumental "Tia-Juana Blues" and "That's My Story" were issued in August, 1966 on an ABC-Paramount and ABC 45-10788. See 45Cat.

It is the only DC5 record that I still have in my collection because it is in good stereo. All that Mr. Clark sent over here to sell in the US was mono and poorly re-channeled fake stereo. When I found out about this album, I bought it as an import.

vidman45 14th Mar 2014		Vinyl Album The Fireballs Featuring Jimmy Gilmer - Bottle Of Wine	45 Cat has a main database for The Fireballs with 116 45's listed in it with, several group name variations. When I added two LP's today with the names as credited on the album cover and labels to The Fireballs Featuring Jimmy Gilmer, the group got split into two. I like to see all of the names combined into a main database like has been done at 45 Cat. Can a moderator do this? Jimmy Gilmer apparently left the group after this album, and the label credits went back to using The Fireballs.

vidman45 28th Feb 2014		Vinyl Album Dion And The Belmonts - Presenting Dion And The Belmonts	Fred, thanks for the info on the re-issues of this LP. So I have a 1962 re-issue. I knew that I could not afford new LP's back then when I was still in high school. The BB hole in the lower-front cover refreshes my memory of buying from a cut-out table at Woolworths when I was in college. It is still a beautiful album. I don't even want to know what it's worth on eBay today.

Should I have added it to Pathe (France), where the Cat#s and dates fit together better? I have another Rick Nelson album to add from this same reissue series.

And on the first pressing, they show the same song titles on both sides. Should we blame the producers Clancy B. Grass III and Don Peake? Priscilla was one of the Paris Sisters.

Sounds like a job for "Super Moderator". Are you a mod on this site, John? I just started a list called QUAD LP'S, so I prefer to keep things simple.

vidman45 30th Jan 2014		Vinyl Album Jan And Dean - Jan & Dean	As the one who added this record, John's assessment is right on. The cover is folded over and very flimsy. Not at all like the cardboard covers of early 60's era. The front picture is faded, and I touched it up after scanning and stitching to make it look brighter. I did order it back in the late 70's from a dealer (in Goldmine) with the understanding that it was not an original issue. I knew that it was a reissue/repro, but did not know if it was authorized or bootleg. I used the 1960 date because I don't recall the exact year that I acquired it.
vidman45 28th Jan 2014		Vinyl Album Duane Eddy - Twistin' With Duane Eddy	Ah, the things that record companies do after their artists leave their label. They dig out some old tracks, speed them up to sound more "groovy", and rename the titles with the word "twist". Notice that the running times are shorter than the original releases. This had to be from about 1962 when Duane moved to RCA. I waited a few months, and bought a cut-out copy for 99 cents.

Chubby Checker does not perform on all of the tracks. Other artists are not credited on either the back cover or the labels. A correction to the artist should be made by a moderator as follows: Track A2 - The Dovells, Track A4 - Dee Dee Sharp, Track A5 - The Carroll Brothers, Track B2 - The Dovells, Track B3 and B5 (Instrumental) - Unknown Artist, Track B6 - Chubby Checker and Dee Dee Sharp (duet). mod edit: done
