UK Number Ones - 1960

Original issues of UK #1 hits on 10" 78rpm, based on the Official Charts Company listing. Until the Week Ending 3 March, the source the OCC use is the New Musical Express. From 10 March, it was the Record Retailer newspaper.

This was the year in which the major British record companies ceased production of 10" 78rpm discs for their new release singles, instead only issuing them on the 7" 45rpm format. As such, the titles listed below are the last UK #1s issued on 78rpm, and it was the first year since the charts had begun in 1952 when not all the chart-toppers were available in that format.

7" issues are listed on 45cat.
