Peggy Lee - Don't Be So Mean To Baby / Just A Shade On The Blue Side (1948)
Thanks, han, other than for video files, I never think to look at archive.org.

Washboard Sam And His Washboard Band - She's Just My Size / Fool About That Woman (1948)
Going through 1948 issues, Billboard was still using "Race" in its 'Reviews' and 'Advance Record Releases' lists. RCA Victor used either "Rhythm & Blues" or "Blues" in it advertisements.

[no artist listed] - Divers Diseases Sermons (1948)
One for W.B.lbl ... the labels are small, only 3" diameter, on a 12" vinyl pressing.

As I understand it, the 'CC' bit of the RCA prefix indicates Custom, 12" 78 RPM (info. from this discogs discussion thread). The instruction to "Play Slowly" might modify the actual playback speed.

The Sandpipers - I'm Lonely My Darlin' (Green Grow The Lilacs) / The Ballad Of Davy Crockett
Judging from this Worthpoint page, it appears that these records were distributed by mail (mail-in offer), rather than sold with a jar of peanut butter.

Perry Como - The First Christmas—Part 1 / The First Christmas—Part 2 (1950)

Galli-Curci, Egener, Caruso, De Luca, Journet, Bada - Lucia–Sextette (Chi Mi Frena–What Restrains Me?) (Act 2) / Rigoletto–Quartet (Bella Figlia Dell' Amore) (Fairest Daughter Of The Graces) (Act 3) (1923)
I have another copy of this, with slightly different runout stampings:

Ⓤ 10000A ➂ Ⓢ ... the ➂ is at 3 o'clock, the Ⓢ at 9 o'clock
➁Ⓐ 10000B ➂ ... the ➂ is at 9 o'clock

The circled letters/numerals indicate the very tiny stamps. Bat-wing label design is the same on both copies.

Interestingly, DAHR shows a deletion date (Jan 1920) ... at a guess, the 'comic' element had run its course by then.

On my copy [images #2049255 and 2049255], there are numerals/letters stamped in the label area ...

B BX 261.
178 [above] AD

... otherwise, the same AW date code as the other labels.

Frank Hutchison - Wild Hogs In The Red Brush / Hutchison's Rag (1928)
On my copy's "Hutchison's Rag" side, assuming that the Ⓦ401113B is at 6 o'clock position, then A-3 is stamped at the 12 o'clock position, and A-1 is similarly positioned on the "Wild Hogs" side. Does this help?

Frank Hutchison - Wild Hogs In The Red Brush / Hutchison's Rag (1928)
Thanks, Mike ... my web search results don't always turn up Talking Machine World. I have a copy of Tony Russell's Country Music Records 1921-1942, which is good for recording session dates, but not so good for record release dates ... date amended to Dec 1928.

Giovanni Martinelli, Giuseppe De Luca And Jose Mardones - William Tell—Troncar suoi di (His Life Basely Taken) (Act 2) / William Tell—Ah, Matilde, io t'amo e amore (Matilda, I Love Thee) (Act 1) (1923)
The '4' and '2' in the 10009-A matrix are at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock, respectively. The label for that side has what looks like a couple of gouges.

Quote:
... Do the runouts by chance show a little 2 in the 9 o' clock position?
On side A, yes; on side B, it's at 3 o'clock (with 10000B at 6 o'clock) ... had I been aware these numerals were significant I would have mentioned them. FWIW, there is a near-microscopic '6 J' to the left of the 10000A stamp, and a similar '5 O' to the left of 10000B.

So, Talking Machine World indicates actual release dates, then?

On a pop culture note, the sextet was featured in two Three Stooges short films, although with changed lyrics in one of them.

Shouldn't it say 9000B ....
Yes, thanks for pointing that out (pesky copy+paste, now fixed), and for the additional info. in Notes. I've been going through a box of records from 2001 (thrift shop finds), and scanning the Victrolas' labels.

Sir Harry Lauder - Boss o' the Hoose / Soosie McLean (1926)
On my copy, there is a number faintly stamped next to the VE mark on the "Boss o' the Hoose" side. On the "Soosie McLean" side, it appears to be Cc8025 T Δ.

Feodor Chaliapin - Song Of The Flea / Barbiere Di Siviglia Act 1 (1928)
Considering that the Victrola "original" (this coupling, anyway) dates to 1928, and that RCA only acquired Victor Talking Machine Co. in 1929, I am skeptical about the 1928 date here. When did RCA replace the Victrola label with Victor Red Seal?

Enrico Caruso - Aïda—Celeste Aïda (Heavenly Aïda!) (Preceded by the Recitative, "Se quel guerrier io fossi!") (If I Should be Chosen!) (Act 1) / Forza Del Destino—O tu che seno agli' angeli (Force of Destiny — Thou Heavenly One) (Act 3)
The label size of my copy [images #2041686, 2041687] is just under 3" diameter. The difference in scan quality here is, the "Forza Del Destino" label was scanned on my cheapo HP scanner, which has a metal frame surrounding the scanning glass, resulting in an out-of-focus image. The "Celeste Aïda" label was scanned way back in 2003 on an older scanner that does not have that limitation.

Regimental Band Of H.M. Grenadier Guards - Colonel Bogey / Stars And Stripes For Ever (1929)
My copy, with additional publisher emblems, came from a local Salvation Army thrift shop ... still in nice shape for a 90-year-old. The labels' layout shows some subtle differences compared with images #441994 and 441995.

Carmel Quinn - Galway Bay / With My Shillelagh Under My Arm (1955)
From what info. I can find, this (and the other 3 disks from this album) does not appear to have been issued as a 45 rpm single (as 4-40442); instead, the 45 rpm album was issued as a 2-EP set B 491 (5-2116 and 5-2117).

Various Artists - When The Saints Go Marching In / Jam Session Blues (1954)
While davebrubeckjazz.com offers 1954 as the release year, that may be in doubt. Billboard's review of Columbia CL 699, which mentions Helena Rubinstein's new lipstick, was published in the 15 Oct 1955 issue. This record was reportedly distributed with copies of Vogue, but I have not been able to determine exactly which issue.
