Glenn Miller - Anytime, Anyday, Anywhere / Wistful And Blue (1937)
Although one wouldn't know it from the rather forgettable "Wistful And Blue", which Ruth Etting co-wrote, she was a much sought-after star of radio, stage, movies and recordings during the 1920s-'30s. More information on her quite interesting life may be found here.

Glenn Miller - In The Mood / Out Of Space (1940)
634557/558: Similar to 631548/549 except for the embossed "S T" at the center hole on the B side label, font differences and the copyright information printed along the rim of the each of the labels. This would be a third variation I've rounded up. There are still two others which await suitable examples for posting.

Glenn Miller - In The Mood / Out Of Space (1940)
I've seen two additional variations. However, neither are complete sets and are of such poor quality that they really aren't worth bothering with. Unless I'm filling in to complete a set for someone who has failed to post either an A or B side label, I don't post material until I have the complete set. It saves a lot of headaches for someone else to search out the mate and it provides any researcher or collector interested in the entry a clear graphic representation of exactly what to look for on both sides to determine its validity as a proper and true pressing.

The Pony-Tails - Born Too Late / Come On Joey Dance With Me (1958)
Thank you Redpunk for the fine addition.

It's the seemingly insignificant and overlooked differences in the content, typeface and layout which transform the record from a dime-a-dozen common pressing to a find worth thousands.

A very good example of this is an Elvis Presley Extended Play issue found here

Charlie Gracie - Butterfly / Ninety-Nine Ways (1957)
Actor and teen heartthrob Tab Hunter also recorded "Ninety-Nine Ways" on the Dot label, which hit the charts in March, 1957 and rose to #11. Sheet music for the tune also credits music and lyrics to Anthony September (Tony Mammarella) who was the producer on Dick Clark's "American Bandstand".

In all likelihood, both of these hits were written by Bernie Lowe and Kal Mann, but credited to September in hopes of greasing some palms to get them out before the public on "Bandstand". This was the era of payola during which time a lot of artists and composers were screwed out of significant amounts of royalities through some very dodgy but common practices during this timeframe until such activities came to an end in the late 1950s early 1960s following Congressional hearings on the matter.
