Johann Strauss And Symphony Orchestra - The Spirit Of Fire Op. 269 (Feuergeist) / The Singer's Joy Op. 328 (Sangerslust) (1928)
How is Johann Strauss (1804-1849) the artist on this item? I see it says Johann Strauss, but I don't understand it.

Albert Schweitzer - Toccata Und Fuge In D-Moll Für Orgel, 1. Teil / Toccata Und Fuge In D-Moll Für Orgel, 2. Teil
This item says it was recorded at the Parish Church, Gunsbach, Alsace. Do these 'oldies' have different versions? I always thought the artists recorded it once and it was copied and reissued any number of times.

Helmut Zacharias - When The White Lilacs Bloom Again / Spanish Strings (1956)
The a-side track is often credited to composers 'Franz Doelle, Fritz Rotter', and even 'Joseph Dalman, Franz Doelle, Fritz Rotter'.

Florian Zabach - When The White Lilacs Bloom Again / The Fiddler's Boogie (1957)
According to numerous sources, the a-side composer 'Doele' is misspelled. It should be 'Doelle', with 2 'L's; as in composers "Franz Doelle, Fritz Rotter".

Richard Tauber - When The Lilac Blooms Again ("Wenn der weisse Flieder weider blüht") / Four Words ("Vier worte möcht' ich dir jetzt sagen") (1931)
Side one track title is an error, I think. "When The White Lilacs Bloom Again" is the more common title.
Even the German title "Wenn der weisse Flieder wieder blüht" translates to "When the white lilac blooms again".

It's a bit odd that 'Op. 325' is printed on the same line as the composer's name.

It's difficult to choose the a-side and more difficult to understand why the cat#s don't jive.

Absolutely. We all know the rules. Having the name appear on the page in its correct form enables a search to locate it.

The RCA Victor "Little Nipper Junior Series" should have its own discography page. Most of the pages for these 10" records use the 'Y' number as the catalogue number. So, this page would have catalogue number Y428. There are at least 8 other pages that are part of this discography; all but one being from USA. They include:
Y-399
Y-419
Y 422
Y 431
Y-467
Y-488
Y-490

Why do I add images of the deadwax area? I dig the machine-stamped fonts vs hand-scrawled numbering. They're old-style and industrial.

Andre Kostelanetz - Pons-Kostelanetz Concert (1942)
I suppose this item could have been added as a CLASSICAL album. Has there been any discussion about moving them to that area of the website? There are a few I've added as VINYL LPs and 78s that would qualify as CLASSICAL.
