Winston Churchill, M.P. - End Of The War In Europe (1950)	I am going to suggest that the disc will be the dark plum, with it looking bright in an effort to read the gold lettering. The main other colour His Master's Voice used was the Scarlet one and some were Brown , (any other colours on the red end of the spectrum used ?) Having said that the NT is not far off the normal colour for that tax code stamp - maybe it is a little darker red on normal printing ?
