Interesting comparisons of Rack Around The Clack

In recent months I've come across a few articles that have erroneously referred to Haley's record as a cover of a black original. Just for the benefit of people doing research, Sonny Dae was the stage name for Paschal Vennitti (I might have that spelling wrong), and he and the band were white. It's likely folks are getting this song mixed up with one recorded earlier by Hal Singer that had the same title but was a totally different song. There's also another "Rock Around the Clock" by Wally Mercer but I've never seen a photo of Mercer.

I should wander over to Ashford to find out what is on the B side of this bootleg 45

I wonder what the audio source was cos if off CD then naughty if unlicenced. If dubbed off 78 then interesting.

Popsike records a 2013 sale with diff A side image - in so far as centre hole is worn with a finish price of USD 2133.

I assume it is unlikley a copy would arise in the UK even at the overpriced second hand warehouses in Otley or similar.

@Pridesale - Or a B-side label scan? Although the a-side is pretty easy to find and has been included in compilations, even bigtime Haley collectors and fans have been unable to get their hands on Moving Guitar. I personally have never seen an image of the b-side.

Bill Haley claimed that Dave Miller, co-owner of the Essex label, couldn't stand James Myers (who published the song under the pseudonym Jimmy DeKnight) and tore up the sheet music three times when he noticed that Haley's band was trying to record it in his studio (http://www.rockabillyhall.com/RockClockTribute.html).
