This is from the photo by Torbjorn Ehrnvall taken in Sweden in 1963, featuring the remaining three fabs in their pink shirts, the red roses just in shot
OldMod67 18th May 2019		Book Helen Spence - The Beatles Forever (1981)	Hi, JPGR&B, thanks for adding an illustration as my scanning saga is ongoing. My copy, however, has a different photo on the dustjacket; it's a colour shot from the TOTP studio, featuring Ringo on a riser in the foreground. The jacket rear is a colour photo from the May '66 promo filming of Paperback Writer/ Rain (the session before Chiswick) with camera and crew at the bottom of the shot. The boards are claret as opposed to yellow,with gilt embossing. If and when I can start scanning I have such a backlog!

Nine page introduction, followed by contents page. Originally published as La Reine Margot, apparently translated at some point by David Bogue, although no translator is listed in this edition.

As an aside,ppint, in the late 80s we had Chris Foss for a signing at the bookshop ( I think the store manager knew him..) He had some lovely artwork with him, not the Joy of Sex though (which he also illustrated!) There's a theme here.....

The cover states 'John Wyndham writing as John Beynon' . However, Child of Power was written under the name Wyndham Parkes. The author's real name being John Wyndham Parkes Lucas Beynon Harris....so really this book is John Beynon, writing as John Beynon (except one story) but being marketed as by John Wyndham! Moderators, feel free to change my entry if you think the names should be the other way around!
