We didn't have any German import from the main labels. We just ordered from the record company, in this case WEA. On the back we have English and French as language, not very logical for a German only product.

Germany I always look at the distribution: If it says marketed by PolyGram I submit it as an USA release, if it says marketed by Phonogram it's European. A lot of probably wrongly submitted items should be checked.

In this case we have a 01 prefix (full price) and a 02 prefix (midprice) for CBS / Columbia / Sony distribution. Other prefixes can help to determine country of issue as they are country / label specific. The booklets for these issues probably are also different.

We can't have a separate entry for every country this was released in. We're working with an extensive database here and must keep things manageable. You own the same thing that's listed here and the Australian release date is in the notes. That's enough I think. I do believe The Beatles were released in almost every country that has a seat in the United Nations. No need at all to list the same thing over and over again.
