Syd Vliet 13th Sep 2015		CD Album The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1987)	I never liked the way they artificially looped and then faded the 'Inner Groove', it was only those who didn't have an automatic pick-up that would have heard it that way on vinyl (but not with a fade out of course). On the 1968 and 1970's gold UK cassette versions you heard it once only, which is how it should have been presented on the CD IMHO. Sadly the looped effect was also applied to the 2009 CD's.

Syd Vliet 22nd Nov 2014		CD Album Stereolab - The Groop Played "Space Age Batchelor Pad Music" (1993)	Somebody has uploaded the back page of the booklet as the cover. Added the correct cover plus the disc.
Syd Vliet 4th Nov 2014		CD Album The Byrds - Fifth Dimension (1996)	Added the 16 page booklet. The best Byrds album for me (particularly with the bonus tracks added to this CD). Coincidentally, John Riley (title of track 10) was also the name of the dentist who gave Beatle John and Beatle George LSD for the first time in Spring 1965. Members of The Byrds and The Beatles then tripped on LSD together in the August of that year.
Syd Vliet 13th Sep 2014		CD Album George Harrison - All Things Must Pass (1987)	Added disc 2 variation which, on my copy (bought June 1987), has the same ring-less design as disc 1.
Syd Vliet 13th Sep 2014		CD Album George Harrison - The Best Of George Harrison (1987)	Added an alternate back cover (sans the Apple logo) and alternate disc (without the ring). I bought my copy in June 1987, so presumably the Apple was added around the same time it was added to the Beatles CD's circa 1992/93.

Syd Vliet 18th Aug 2014		CD Album Paul McCartney - All The Best! (1987)	The European/UK CD has a different track listing to the US version (and alternate song icons on the cover). Both CD's have 17 titles but 5 are different: The US CD has a more Wings/70s orientated line-up with the live 1979 version of "Coming Up" plus "Junior's Farm", "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey", "Goodnight Tonight" and "With a Little Luck". This European/UK CD has the studio version of "Coming Up" plus "Pipes of Peace", "Once Upon a Long Ago", "We All Stand Together" and "Mull of Kintyre" (frustratingly leaving out "Goodnight Tonight" which remained unavailable on CD in Europe until the 1993 re-issue of "McCartney II")

Syd Vliet 16th Aug 2014		CD Album Wings - London Town (1989)	Long delayed, by almost two years (note the 1987 digitally remastered copyright), and subsequently the last of McCartney's 1970's albums to be issued on CD. The 12 page booklet includes the lyrics but no reproduction of the LP's double sided poster.
Syd Vliet 16th Aug 2014		CD Album Paul McCartney - McCartney II (1987)	The live version was only included on the US edition of "All the Best" (the studio version is on the UK/Europe CD), though it may well be the reason it wasn't included here, with the compilers not aware of the difference. It was one of five obvious 1970-80 McCartney singles cuts not to be included on any of the 1987-89 UK/European CD's, the others being the two sides of the 'Ireland' single, "Helen Wheels" and "Goodnight Tonight" (a big hit in the UK which appeared on the vinyl edition of "All the Best" but not the CD).

Syd Vliet 16th Aug 2014		CD Album Paul McCartney - McCartney II (1987)	Track 11 is miss-spelled as "One of THOSE Days" on the disc, back and booklet (it should be "One of THESE Days"). The live version of "Coming Up" (coupled with the studio version as a single in 1980) is a glaring omission from the bonus tracks.
Syd Vliet 15th Aug 2014		CD Album The Beatles - The Capitol Albums Vol. 2 (2006)	I got this set ridiculously cheap a year after it came out and I was expecting it to be the miss-pressed version with the mono folds in place of the genuine mono mixes, which I would have accepted for the price, but luckily it was the correct version. In hindsight, I really wish they'd included "Yesterday and Today" in place of the relatively pointless "Early Beatles". The recent 2014 edition of "Yesterday and Today" isn't genuine, mix wise.
Syd Vliet 14th Aug 2014		CD Album Wings - Wings Over America (1987)	The 16 page booklet is made up of sections from the reverse side of the original LP poster showing individual band member pics with their instruments, plus the gatefold sleeve painting (again cut into sections). Neither the front side of the poster or the inner sleeve graphics, depicting a plane door gradually opening, are reproduced on the CD artwork.

Syd Vliet 11th Aug 2014		CD Album Wings - Wild Life (1987)	Unlike the LP (and the cassette), the CD artwork acknowledged the presence of the two link tracks and gave them titles. The bonus tracks on these 1987-89 McCartney CD's were fairly comprehensive in adding the non-album singles and b-sides (even including the obscure Country Hams release on "Wings at the Speed of Sound"), but the 1972 single "Give Ireland Back to the Irish" (and its' instrumental flip side) was conspicuous in its' absence. Presumably Paul was uncomfortable with the song at this stage of his career and the A-side remained unavailable on CD until the 1993 re-issue of "Wild Life", whilst the b-side, as far as I'm aware, has never made it to the silver disc,
Syd Vliet 8th Aug 2014		CD Album Paul McCartney And Wings - Band On The Run (1985)	Added full set of scans. Not all of the polaroid snaps on the original poster were included in the CD booklet. The black and white vinyl inner sleeve picture of Paul, Linda and Denny with a group of African children is also missing. The lyrics were originally printed in white on a black background, but they chose black on cream for this CD.
Syd Vliet 8th Aug 2014		CD Album Ringo Starr - Blast From Your Past (1987)	I'd say this was definitely produced for the British/European market, no question about it. The Beatles Monthly announced the release with this cat no. in their June 1987 issue. I bought it that month from a WH Smith (the last place you'd expect to find a Japanese import) at a regular price. And note that there's no Japanese text, anywhere.
Syd Vliet 6th Aug 2014		CD Album Paul McCartney And Wings - Red Rose Speedway (1987)	Only 3 pages from the original 12 page LP booklet were included in the CD artwork, and no reproduction of the gatefold or back cover artwork either. Three terrific bonus tracks though.
Syd Vliet 5th Aug 2014		CD Album Wings - Wings Greatest (1985)	And no composer credits anywhere, denying Denny Laine recognition for "Mull of Kintyre". The first solo Beatle album I owned (on vinyl, early '79) and one of my earliest CD purchases (Dec '86).

Syd Vliet 25th Jul 2014		CD Album The Beatles - Magical And Mystical Words (1997)	Bought it in Virgin Megastore (December '97) and note the full contact details for the label on the back, so it was seemingly intended as a legitimate release, but they must have been on dodgy ground with the inclusion of Christmas Flexi material. Probably didn't sell/press enough copies for Apple to notice/bother with.
