TheJudge 29th Nov 2021		CD Album Green Lizard - Newborn (2002)	Sony were absolute bsrds around this time for putting 'copy protection' on some of their releases. Either they wouldn't play on a PC/MAC at all, or they would only play through a software player which you had to install from the CD itself. Even then, it would only play at a reduced bitrate (128kb/sec). Sony quite rightly got a real shoeing over this, and stopped doing it.

TheJudge 5th Jul 2021		CD Album Styx - Styx II	The wording at the bottom of the rear of the back cover reads: "All rights reserved. Licensing agreement no. 2111/M3 from 12.11.96 between RCA and Spurk Ltd,". For a little more on Spurk, see here. I wonder about that 'Licensing agreement' text in the light of this, and think that the Notes should denote this as a bootleg, and perhaps the label changed to 'Спюрк'.

TheJudge 14th Jan 2021		CD Album Kate Bush - The Whole Story (1986)	Update to self: the Note probably means that there was no indication of who the producer was on the re-recorded vocal, so I've amended the Note to reflect that better. I still don't understand why she felt the need to issue a version with a re-recorded vocal; after all, the original was an absolute classic. She did the same thing with this a few years later and - to my mind at least - completely destroyed Moments Of Pleasure by completely re-working it.
TheJudge 12th Jan 2021		CD Album Various Artists - Mojo Presents There Is A Light That Never Goes Out (2012)	I think it was attempt at one of those 'gritty northern' tropes that designers and meeja types in London tend to go in for. At least The Smiths (who had a lot of sleeves with images which had no connection to the actual music) were actually from 'the north'.

Then why does it say 'new vocal' on the booklet, the rear card and the disc(s)? I think that part of the Note needs to be deleted.
