Looks like I'm going to be spending the weekend in moderator mode amending The Beatles UK 1987 and 2009 releases of the main catalogue to International. Glad it is all in a flat structure and we can see all the releases together.

I have now amended The Beatles UK 1987 and 2009 releases of the main catalogue to International. Now we just need to rearrange the 2009 entries to the order of original release.

I've just gone a bit dense on my 1st first visit!
I have in my hand a kind of CD digipack of AC/DC - highway to hell on Epic records - when I looked it up there are 2 versions of this album already with different barcodes & record labels instead of cat numbers ? They cant all be international surely?

ITs similar but Epic/Sony/ albert ? made in austria.
Are you not going to have a problem here because I just looked it up on discogs and it shows 110 versions of Highway To Hell - possibly 40 different cd's ? spread the same sort of quantity over all their work you are going to need a big database!
The problem with Discogs is that it doesn't seem to be moderated at all. There are so many duplicates there because someone added a CD claiming it was different (from another country or label) though already the images prove it isn't.
Here, we'll definitely not have two entries because a CD with the same cat# and barcode was manufactured in two different countries or had an extra cardboard box only in some parts of the world.
See Abbey Road: CDs made in the UK, in Holland and in Austria on the same entry.
But the country of manufacture is not especially important. It's the country it was sold in. I added the Holland-made Abbey Road CD, but it's definitely from a "UK" edition, as I bought it new in Virgin in Oxford Street, and the CD back card states UK.
We've made some changes to how CD Albums work. Thanks for the feedback we received about this.
Artist discographies are now shown as a flat list. They are no longer divided up by country. Barcode/UPC numbers are shown for each CD. CD Album World is more product-based than other worlds, so normally there will be just a single entry for each barcode.
When adding CDs, the first options shown are International and Europe, as many CDs will fit into those categories. "International" just means that it was released in more than 1 country. It doesn't mean that it was released worldwide. So it's a very flexible choice.
Bootleg CDs are placed at the end of the discography.
The "International" flag has been changed to make it more distinct. There is no standard for a world/global/international flag, especially one that fits into 16x11 pixels, so any suggestions regarding that are welcome!
How about implementing the "International" feature for CD singles? I bet that CD lovers should easily approve this.
I have an album that was only available as a USB drive that came with a band logoed shirt, are there any plans for alternative formats like this to be added?
Also this may have been asked before but for CD's with a DVD for disc 2 are we added the DVD in the notes or putting the DVD tracklist in the proper tracklist section?

Not sure! There may be a Digital Format world in the future!

Either is OK, but I think it's better to put the details in the proper tracklist section.

It's fine that the barcode/UPC numbers are shown now on the artist discographies. They don't appear, however, on the label discographies where they would be a welcome tool to sort the sequence of release. This applies especially for US releases where the catalogue numbers often derived from much older vinyl releases and were kept even for enhanced releases with new barcodes. For example, we have moved Columbia CK 37496 from 1990 to 2008 only because of the barcode. The cat# would be the same for both issues though.
