Not sure exactly how this happened because I use Ebay almost never, but it seems someone made an automatic bid of $75 as maximum bid on Nov. 7, 5 days before the end day, and that probably triggered the frantic attempts by _***u to outbid him in the seconds that remained before the auction closed. Ironically, even the $75 were then outbid by someone who joined the fray 1 minute before the end. I wonder if any of the bidders learned about this auction on this site.
