Hi to everyone,
I have to add a release of various artists all singing a song together. My doubt is: is the main artist only various artists or do I also have to add the names of the artists individually even if they all sing the same song? It is a 45rpm and the song is only the A side, while for the b side there is no problem because it is only an artist to perform the song.

Hello everyone, I solved the previous problem and now I have another doubt to submit to you.
I have a box set with two DVDs that cover two different films. My question is: The title of the box set includes the titles of the two films. By adding it to the database, is it automatically linked to the two films?
The title of the DVD set should not neccesarily be what links to the Cinema World entries, at least in a compilation. After creating the DVD page, Add Missing Info and on that page, click on the link to Add Extra Title. There you add each of the two films (separately) to that set.
While the title formatting could use a tweak, it's only the title of the set, while the two films in the compilation are added / linked separate from the title of the DVD set.
That's it. If you enter a title (for the DVD) that has two titles, Cinema World can't match that because the contents of the two title fields are not identical.
And another thing: since the tracks on the DVD are taken from television broadcasts, do I have to add the film from the various broadcasts or not?

Welcome and enjoy the fun, this place has people in control, who get this, show up! I know what a difference from what we're use to.
Also they finally got round to shutting one site down... two days later than announced, and of all their "sister" sites, the only one their keeping is the one that has got spam bots going crazy on it.
45worlds is already WAY better in terms of everything.

Came over here a day or two ago this week from there. Not sure if I'll ever have time to get my collection online as much as I did over there, as job hunting is a big priority for me now.
On another note, I think making money on sites like filmogs or 45worlds is governed by how creative one is with the assets you control. They had, in my opinion, a big opportunity to grow filmogs usage and have a potential way of making money from it, if they would as many people already indicated have a service to help buy DVDs, etc. online. But additionally, I think there's the opportunity in the times we are in to take advantage of the circumstances where there are pretty no open theaters to watch movies in a group setting other than drive ins. I think many folks might want to get together to have "watch parties" (of course in a safe location where one can have safe distancing, masks, and cleaning of that location to happen.
A site like this 45worlds, if linked to some sort of event scheduling software features, could help people organize these in different geographic locations where this might be feasible. One would need to play around with this idea to make sure one could make it safe, but I still think there's a potential to have some form of entertainment and meet people if done properly.
Glad to see more film people showing up, so welcome. Maybe now the Corrections queue in this world will get a higher priority bump.

... My question is how does one add a 45Cinema entry? and then How to link it to a release?
I asked this earlier, it will try and match the DVD title, if not go to add missing info and add an extra movie/title.
Linking Cinema titles and their Disc equivalents can be tricky. The idea is exact match, so if your disc entry is simply called "A Star Is Born", it won't link at all because there are four movies in the database with that title from various years. Those entries feature the date of the film's release in [brackets] following a space after it's title entry, ie, "A Star Is Born [2018]", and the matching Disc or Cinema title should share that exact naming convention.
When adding new titles to either world, it's a good idea to do an IMDb search to see if there are multiples; if so, be sure and include that year in brackets even if it's the only title in the database at the time because someone will eventually create one of the other same-named entries in the future.
Best to know this in advance before making the same error(s) many of us have in the past (and still do, it's an easy error!)
Have been adding a lot this way now. But just came across a situation where I need to add a new cinema entry for a title that is equivalent to another title and also the year is equivalent as well. This Cinema entry already exists on this site here:
I want to now add a newer missing entry for a title in this category for the following IMDB entry.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1156454/
... which has both the same name AND the same year of 2008 too. I'm going to create a new film entry named the following to give it a unique name:
Journey To The Center Of The Earth [2008-2]
Would this be an acceptable way to name this title? If not, what should it be named if added to not clash with the existing entry? This is probably not too frequent a circumstance, but I imagine there might be others like this as well out there, and it would be good to have a convention that works and is understood and stated somewhere here too to keep it consistent.
