Count Arthur Strong (2013 - 2017)
I preferred the radio series but still enjoyed this. It's an odd show, on paper it has all the ingredients that would normally have me running a mile (cheap sets, clichéd scripts etc), but it's strangely compelling viewing.

Robin Of Sherwood (1984 - 1986)
Seen it, camped out at Robin's lake and had breakfast in Crom Cruach (sossie sarnies). Also, a friend's daughter played one of the villagers.

In my former job, Phil Rose was one of our regular customers, getting deliveries of stone and concrete to his farm just outside Bath.

Walking The Nile (2015)
I haven't watched this yet (I will eventually), but someone at work raves about it. One for the wishlist.

Timewatch (1982 - 2011)
The BBC still consider this a current series but all they've broadcast since 2011 is repeats of previous shows, so I've marked it as closed.

Doctor Who (1963 - Now)
I disagree. This isn't IMDB, it isn't necessary to list everyone under the sun. That's why I only listed the Doctors, and even then was adding three times more cast than the site would normally list.

Update: However, I have moved Bernard Cribbins to a more logical position in the list.

Update to the update: and I was fully expecting someone to add the companions sooner or later. One day we may have the chance to add details of individual series within each show. For me, that would be the ideal place for listing companions.

Doctor Who (1963 - Now)
Biffbampow, I'd recommend you try some of the Big Finish audio plays. Paul McGann has done the role of the Doctor justice in those, especially where he's teamed up with Sheridan Smith in the role of Lucie Miller. Colin Baker's doctor is given the chance to shine too, allowing his TV persona to mellow, as was always the intention had he been allowed to continue the role as planned. The Big Finish romps for Jago and Litefoot (Talons of Weng Chiang) are good fun too and well worth a listen.

No, I haven't gone potty, it really is a current series.
The first episode of the new series of the X-Files premieres in the USA on Sunday January 24th, 10pm on Fox Network, after the Superbowl.

I have them both but not currently in an uploadable form. I haven't rigged the VHS player up to the computer yet. Dr Doom put Stones up on the DVD site so he might add the show here.

Grange Hill (1978 - 2008)
I remember watching an episode of The Young Doctors (Aussie soap) where Dennis Jamison gave Tania Livingston a 7" record because he thought it was a tune she would like. When she played it, the track was a full version of the theme from Grange Hill.

The cruelest show on TV.
"Well, you messed that up, but never mind, you go home with a set of darts. Now let's have a look at what you could have won" (Cue wheeling out of luxury speedboat).

I've clicked seen it, but I have to admit it would get switched over once Tiswas started on HTV. Keith Chegwins gurning mug leering out the screen, or the potential of seeing Sally James in a wet T-Shirt. Forgone conclusion really.

Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads? (1973 - 1974)
I preferred the original series "The Likely Lads". It was black & white and set in a factory. Most of what I remember revolved around the lads dating the factory girls. In the end titles of Whatever Happened you see kids playing in the ruins of the demolished factory.

Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads? was created to promote the introduction of colour TV. The BBC wanted a colour show that people would tune in to watch. Because The Likely Lads was so popular, they chose to do a sequel series set after Terry's return from the army.

It's worth tracking down, it's a very funny show. It's on YouTube at the moment, hopefully won't get pulled.

Get Some In! (1975 - 1978)
Tony Selby thought this series would be as popular and long running as Dads Army. Unfortunately, the less than PC comments of the character he played have consigned this series to remain on the shelf with the exception of a very heavily edited UK Gold re-run.

The Golden Shot (1967 - 1975)
I remember Bob Monkhouse in an interview saying that there was one time a stage hand got shot by the crossbow. They played it down and rapidly installed blocking mechanisms to prevent the crossbow straying away from the target zone. As you say, they would never be allowed to do the show today.
