Release date mention in Dec. 7, 1968 Record World. Reviewed in Feb. 8, 1969 Record World. Uncredited vocalist is Kenny Seymour Sr. (formerly of Little Anthony and the Imperials) as noted in an interview with Harvey on Fania's website.

With a male chorus this is Vaughn's salute to the Philadelphia string bands.

As you can tell by the record images, this is one of Scepter's "stop-groove" releases. This is where the lead out groove stops temporarily before going to the center groove. This was very common for releases from RCA Victor before 1969.
