78rpm-maniac 30th Jul 2022		Vinyl Album Yardbirds - Five Live Yardbirds (1966)	To me, it looks like an old EPIC-CBS pressing from Germany. Possibly a Mono-Record-Version. If the cover is thick and glossy, it seems to be an authentic issue from the 1960s. No re-press. You can compare such indications with other artists from the same time-period, like Donovan.

That is normal, with the mistakes and errors in case of the design, layout or song-titles, which are sometimes wrong spelled, or completely wrong. I have a lot of Dire Straits CD- and Vinyl-Bootlegs, mostly from Italy, Holland and Luxembourg with such mistakes. The bootleggers have no further knowledge in some cases, while producing such records. It is really normal.

78rpm-maniac 16th Jul 2022		Vinyl Album Tony Sheridan And The Beat Brothers - My Bonnie (1962)	I´m of the opinion, that in those days in Germany, the younger people bought the single and not the LP-Album, because vinyl-records were very expensive in those days. An LP-Album had a retail-price about 16-18 DM in Germany and a single-record about 4-4,75 DM. I also collect historic advertisement-items from the record-companies. That was a lot of money for a German teenager during the early 1960s. Polydor-records was the biggest record-company in Germany and well-known for German popular music, dancband-music, classical-recordings and folk-music, as well. Popular-music in foreign languages were not so well produced and promoted, like in other countries, so that also can be a reason of less success of that, now legendary, LP-Album by Tony Sheridan. The life-standard-level in Germany in those days was not the same, as in the UK or in the USA. In 1962 the term "Beat" or "Beatmusic" was not really known in Germany, but "Rock-n-Roll", "Teenage-Songs" or "Twist" were more familiar to the music-customers.
78rpm-maniac 16th Jul 2022		Vinyl Album Tony Sheridan And The Beat Brothers - My Bonnie (1962)	Yes, that re-issue came out in 1986 i think as a commemorative record with a bonus-single incl. the German-intro version of My Bonnie. The re-issue LP and the re-issue single carry different catalogue-numbers, so don´t be confused with the original and the re-issue pressings, and, of course, take care in case of some slippery offers, where the re-issues been offered as authentic copies.

Don´t compare this band with the other "Blues Company" band on Mercury-records. That was a band formed by some Ex-The Rattles bandmembers, like Herbert Hildebrandt.

This is a band formed by some Ex-Rattles-Bandmembers, like Herbert Hildebrand or Les Humphreys.

78rpm-maniac 5th Jul 2022		Vinyl Album Vico Torriani - Liebe, Tanz Und 1000 Träume (1961)	Hi 3.mybabyleftme. Hmm, normally that Vico Torriani LP-Album you have uploaded was released in Germany through TELDEC-Record-company on the red-golden DECCA label and not on the black-golden London-label in Germany. So, i came to my conclusion that your copy is a special pressing for US-Soldiers in Germany, similar like those US-Army-issues by Elvis Presley, or it is a very curious misprint with wrong labels. So one is clear, that is NOT normal for such a Decca-record by Vico Torriani. I have a German collectors-book about the TELDEC-Recordcompany history after the WW-2. There is a chapter on the topic of German releases with US-artists, like Elvis, Pat Boone, Fats Domino and so on. The author shows a German folk-music-record, with bavarian traditional music, with the black-golden london label and he declared that copy as an US-Army-issue to be sold in the so called PX-Shops for US-Soldiers and their families. Maybe i am totally wrong with my idea on your London Vico Torriani record but it makes sense according to the information from that book about the history of the record-company TELDEC. Is it possible, that is also can be a pressing for US-Soldiers in Germany. Sold in the Army PX-Shops, like the old so called Army-Pressings of Elvis Presley records ? I also have seen a london single by Vico Torriani with an english version of Kalkutta liegt am Ganges.
78rpm-maniac 1st Jun 2022		Vinyl Album Pink Floyd - A Saucerful Of Secrets (1968)	I also own an EMI-boxed label-variant, that version with the two boxed EMI logos, but my record was issued in a German EMI-columbia cover. The uploaded label from Dr. Zoze looks to me like a new printed version for a current re-release of that album. The lettering and the lines of the printed letters are too clear and too sharp for a vintage release. The uploaded label from goodbear66 seems to be a genuine and vintage label-print from the late sixties. Just have a closer look to the lettering in case of the exchanging colour-borders from black to blue.

(1954)	This record is NOT from 1954, because the copyright rights for US-Capitol artists went from TELDEC Germany to EMI-Electrola Germany in the year 1956. Those EMI-Capitol issues carry the Carl Lindstroem-Inscription on the top of the label. Much older issues have the Teldec inscription on the label.

On the backcover is an important note: Copyright is owned by MCA Record company. MCA buyed the rights from Coral and Brunswick in the mid 1960s. So that shown record cannot be an issue from 1961, except the tunes.
