bigmcstu 3rd Apr 2016		Vinyl Album George Harrison - All Things Must Pass (1970)	I have UK discs in a UK box but the inner sleeves appear to be printed in the USA. The UK boxes are considerably deeper than the US ones and should also include a cardboard square which helps to fill up the space and stop the box from being easily crushed.

bigmcstu 27th Apr 2015		Vinyl Album The Animals - Animalisms (1966)	I recently picked up a copy of this having previously only heard the Repetoire label CD version of it. I an absolutely staggered by the difference! The CD Is distorted and swathed in echo, the original vinyl is much more powerful, the instruments and vocals are clear and have a depth that totally blows the CD away. I'd always suspected Repertoire had used a needle drop for their CD, now I'm thinking they must have recorded a needle drop in the room next door!!

My Dad was a big Elvis fan at the time, he reckons that neither he, nor any of his friends bought it because they all had his first one and considered owning two new fangled long players by the same artist to be decadent in the extreme!

bigmcstu 24th Mar 2014		Vinyl Album Paul Simon - The Paul Simon Song Book (1965)	The copy shown dates from the early '70s. Original issues have the cover image reversed and use a different, red typeface for the title. I'm fairly sure. This was mono only initially at first.
