According to 'thebluesneverdie,' the one with the dog in the middle is the oldest version (see link below and I hope it works)

| | Does the original pressing have the HMV logo in the middle bottom of the back cover or to the bottom far left? |

| | Great scans of the labels memphis martin.Nipper the Dog really gives it the authentic 1950's look. The HMV Elvis 78's all came with a plain blue label but the HMV LP's of that era look classy.
It is one of those must have albums for Elvis die-hards but a lot of them will have had to settle for the 1962 RCA Victor re-issue. |

| | There can't be many copies still around on the original HMV label and any that are in better than average condition will be worth a bit, the same goes for Elvis' first HMV album release in the UK.
This has been re-released in various forms with new sleeves by RCA and they even did a dreadful job of giving it a fake stereo re-mix in the early 70's on the Orange label.
Elvis purists will want this HMV original or at the very worst the December 1962 RCA black label RD 7528 reissue in mono. |

| | There must be a reasonable copy out there somewhere that somebody can photograph digitally, transfer to the computer, a little work and upload it. Is it that rare? Wish I'd bought it when I had the chance. |

| | Actually, the sleeve is a yellow shade, more than orange.Reason for the orange shade on many images of this sleeve is because the light reacts on yellow.So....most(all?) of those orange-looking sleeves would actually be yellow. |

| | Is this sleeve actually yellow (Not orange)?
(Seems you've got some lighting effects on the pics there thebluesneverdie, although it's nice to see any image of this!)
- Just looked for one on ebay, and I stand corrected, it is orange, although some have faded with age toward the yellower end of the spectrum... text is white, as is the back... and as for the value... wow - |

| | ....but although the 1st LP has the same cover in both the UK & USA,the sleeves on this 2nd LP had different pics. N.B.the UK issue had a photo that never surfaced again. When the album was re-issued in 1962,UK-RCA used the same pic as the USA issue. |

| | Interesting that this 2nd LP has the same track line-up in both the US & UK versions, but the 1st LP doesn't... |

| | This is very rare, Isn't it? My Dad was a big Elvis fan at the time, he reckons that neither he, nor any of his friends bought it because they all had his first one and considered owning two new fangled long players by the same artist to be decadent in the extreme! |
