Lay Karma Lay is a parody of a fashionable hypocrisy; lovely background vocals from the girls: "Not suitable for AM airplay"

Juke Jules SUBS 21st Nov 2013 | | Vinyl AlbumPhilharmonic Symphony Orchestra Of New York, Igor Stravinsky - The Fire Bird (1953) | Your videos match the 1946 live recording of Stravinsky's newly revised (1945) version, with the conductor taking over from Barbirolli in front of the PSO at Carnegie Hall on 28 January
This was reissued on CD by Naxos
I don't doubt it was released on 78s at the time; maybe someone from 78cat can advise

Juke Jules SUBS 20th Nov 2013 | | Vinyl AlbumVan Dyke Parks - Discover America (1972) | The Four Mills Brothers is a deliciously sensuous arrangement and production, not least for the string arrangements and arco bass

|
Juke Jules SUBS 29th Oct 2013 | | Vinyl AlbumLonnie Mack - For Collectors Only, The Wham Of That Memphis Man! (1970) | The 'distressed' and Sellotaped cover on the front of this Elektra release must be a copy of the original Fraternity album, and close scrutiny shows the legend "Fraternity" has been covered up
|

Juke Jules SUBS 28th Oct 2013 | | Vinyl AlbumLonnie Mack - Whatever's Right (1969) | I love Lonnie's style on Mt. Healthy Blues - keeps me on the edge of my seat as they languidly stumble through a blistering twelve-bar

Juke Jules SUBS 20th Oct 2013 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Dillards - Wheatstraw Suite (1968) | The throwaway track I'll Fly Away is worth more than the entirety of most albums.
This hymn may now be regarded as 'traditional' but it was written by Albert E. Brumley (1905–1977) so is comparatively recent although it is very much in the style of the hymn books of Moody and Sankey. The Blind Boys Of Alabama had a hit with it but I don't know when in their 75 year history
