kimbozw 15th May 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumPink Floyd - A Momentary Lapse Of Reason (1987) | this was not the only example of such oddness at the time. merely i suspect a "waste not want not" mentality (let's use up those old labels rather than throw them away even if this is not a real Motown production - due to shortages of foreign currency to import paper for label printing perhaps. It's a reality in the third world at times ...).

kimbozw 12th Apr 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumGary Moore - Back On The Streets (1978) | For what the information may be worth, it charted in the UK on 03 Feb 1979 for one week at the princely position of No. 70. His highest album charter was the No. 4 peaked AFTER HOURS from 1992. This is according to the Virgin Books issued HIT ALBUMS covering the period 1956 to 2008 which I acquired on 13 June 2011 on a visit to London Town. The book cost me 6 quid which was a promotional price reduced from the previously priced 16 quid.

|
kimbozw 18th Feb 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumPendulum [South Africa] - Trail Blazing (1977) | A1, A2 and B1 are the strongest tracks in my opinion. A1 was a big UK Top 5 hit by MR BIG. The PENDULUM version has better vocals in my opinion. A2 was a hit in Australia by Mark Holden but its original version was a Swedish language song "Jag ska fånga en ängel" by Ted Gärdestad dating from 1973 produced by the ABBA men. Ted's own English language version of the song saw a UK release on single in 1975. B1 was a minor hit for Alessi in some places. The English lyric for A2 was by Gary Osborne who composed a few songs with Elton John.
