Lee Wrecker 20th Nov 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumPeter Tosh - Wanted Dread & Alive (1981) | I have this somewhere and will upload scans when I find it. "Reggae-Mylitis" eh? I think the scans will show it's actually "Reggaemylitis" like da bush doctor say.

Lee Wrecker 16th Sep 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumCreedence Clearwater Revival - Creedence Gold (1972) | It's a good question Magic. Seems these were all released in 1972 according to discwrongs but the lightning label wasn't used till 1977 or later so the cat# and release date are different there for start. I'd say yes there are all different but we have in the past combined releases with slight cat# variations. So, lightning label definitely different but the FANT prefix maybe a variant of the same release I don't know. Maybe someone in the USA knows more about the chronology of label prefixes and designs.
I'll say again , it's a good question but we could at least move the late 70's lightning label release to new entry with an unknown date due to obvious discrepancies but other than that who knows?

Lee Wrecker 6th Sep 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Heartbreakers - L.A.M.F. (1977) | Thunders is often associated with the saying "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" and this album is a very good example of that. Perhaps, the only really well produced Thunders' album is the Steve Lillywhite produced 1978 solo follow up album "So Alone". By then though the Heartbreakers were back in the USA and Thunders used a cavalcade of musicians from the UK rock scene and underground to back him on that album.
After "So Alone" Thunders returned to the States to form the ill-fated Gang War with Wayne Kramer. Then it was all downhill from there.

Lee Wrecker 6th Sep 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumSlade - Cum On Feel The Hitz (2020) | This release is available in Australia. It is an identical product (the same release) and should be listed as international. It should be noted that nearly all, if not all, EU manufactured BMG vinyl releases are available in Australia. CDs of the same releases are also in the same boat. Correction sent.

Lee Wrecker 5th Sep 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumSlade - Slayed? (2021) | This release is available in Australia. It is an identical product (the same release) and should be listed as international. Correction sent.

Lee Wrecker 13th Jun 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumWings - Wings At The Speed Of Sound (1976) | The McCartney owned M.P.L. label was used by EMI in the UK and around the world to release McCartney's work. The other site lists this album as on the MPL label. Globally, EMI released this on their own EMI label in Venezuela, Capitol in Australia and Parlophone in New Zealand. So the MPL label is part of the EMI stable and products on it appear on all three labels above however not in the UK where the albums although known to be made by the EMI, Parlophone group only ever list MPL as a label on the actual product. Why the differences, I don't know but suspect global rights control would come into play here for sure. The question is do we list these as on MPL as the label or second guess like the charts seem to have done given that there is no other information on these products.

Lee Wrecker 13th Jun 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumDeep Purple - Come Taste The Band (1975) | How about this one and this one then Leonard? It seems to be a later version of the second one with the same mismatched sleeve and cover cat#s. Why would you copy that?? Cat# 5C 062-97 044 added as per label and the other one should perhaps have the hyphen as well and be entered as 5C 064-97 044.
Lee Wrecker 12th Jun 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumDeep Purple - Come Taste The Band (1975) | Leonard this is undoubtedly a late 80s or later re-issue but the cat# 5C 062-97044 is the same as the 1975 release and therefore the date is correct. This and the original (not yet listed) should be on the same page and the labels here renamed "Re-issue - date unknown".
Lee Wrecker 1st Jun 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumChocolate Watch Band - No Way Out (1967) | I agree Leonard the 2010 reissue made by Universal Music Enterprises cat# B0013904-01 should have a separate entry. The label should be Universal Music Enterprises or Universal. Facsimile labels are a modern problem but they can be tricky to deal with in cases like this.

Lee Wrecker 31st May 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Gun Club - Fire Of Love (1983) | C4sp3r you're right and a correction has been sent. This is a second pressing the first pressing has the top hat design on the label. Both released in 1983.
Lee Wrecker 31st May 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumAl Green - Explores Your Mind (1975) | I think I win that bet Phil. I've got all the information I need now and have added the month of release as well. Found in Cairns for a fair price in good condition - surprised me.
Lee Wrecker 30th May 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Monochrome Set - Strange Boutique (1980) | Another paper thin Australian sleeve from late 70s early 80s. Was cardboard in short supply? Oh, Whassup this is a Festival release and might suit your Festival listing.
Lee Wrecker 30th May 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumAl Green - Explores Your Mind (1975) | Released in 1975 and NOT 1974 in Australia according to the other site, I've listed it as so but I bet Phil would know whether this is a 74 or 75 release for sure though.

Lee Wrecker 30th May 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumTangerine Dream - Alpha Centauri (1972) | Added a full set of scans for your viewing pleasure. There were no images here before so no need for moderation.

Lee Wrecker 21st May 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Monochrome Set - Strange Boutique (1980) | Will upload Australian issue on blue dindisc labels in a week or so.

Lee Wrecker 24th Apr 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumJohn Lennon / Plastic Ono Band - John Lennon / Plastic Ono Band (2021) | This one is International.
Lee Wrecker 24th Apr 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Beatles - Help! | The famous official Dutch and Swedish 1979 Shell cover release with the same cat# did not have a picture disc variant and were all pressed on black vinyl. There was however a slew of coloured vinyl bootlegs with the Shell cover produced in the Netherlands between 2010 to 2012. My guess is that's where this comes from but I'm certain that this is a bootleg.
Lee Wrecker 20th Apr 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Beatles - Abbey Road (2019) | International.
Lee Wrecker 16th Apr 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Guess Who - The Best Of The Guess Who (1971) | The previous RCA cat# LSPX-1003 was Nilsson"s "The Point!" released in 1976. Both albums are re-issues so, you'd imagine that would also be a 1976 release too.
Lee Wrecker 7th Mar 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumJoe Strummer - Assembly (2021) | ..and you get no reply, no reply, no reply. Facts just do what they want to do. Name the songs that I've paraphrased for this comment. Maybe that'll spark some interest?
Lee Wrecker 26th Feb 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumJoe Strummer - Assembly (2021) | Both versions of this LP, the red vinyl special edition and standard black vinyl issues will be released internationally on 26/03/21 (link to black vinyl Australian release).
Lee Wrecker 26th Feb 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumDavid Bowie - Low (2018) | It says "made in England" (image 1607495) on the packaging but it wasn't. Universal, the current owners of Parlophone just copied the details from the original UK release. It was actually made in Germany and pressed by Optimal Media GmbH with much more bass in the mix which is an improvement to my ears at least. So much so, that I gave my original USA copy away in due to my preference to this mix.
Lee Wrecker 11th Feb 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumDr. John, The Night Tripper - The Sun, Moon & Herbs (1971) | Linked to other copies on the site.
Lee Wrecker 11th Feb 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumJohn Coltrane - Giant Steps (2014) | Listed as international as on the back cover it states "℗ & Ⓒ 1960 Atlantic Recording Corp. for the US and WEA International for the world outside the US." I also have an inkling that this is really a Rhino release masquerading as an Atlantic release the cat# 8122787061 is definitely a Rhino cat# for my money.
Lee Wrecker 10th Feb 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumI Pooh - Per Quelli Come Noi (1966) | This 1966 original release has the same label and cat# as the 1967 and 2008 re-issues. Therefore, all three releases should be merged into one release. We do not differentiate releases by date alone.
Lee Wrecker 10th Feb 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumTropical Fuck Storm - A Laughing Death In Meatspace (2018) | Hello Dr Doom, before I uploaded this I thought of you as I guessed that other than me you would be the only one on the site that would be wise to this mob of miscreants from Melbourne. I'd rate this debut album as slightly better than the 2019 follow up that you have (see link below) but I do like them both a lot. If only more of us had good taste bands like this could earn a decent living.
Lee Wrecker 27th Jan 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumSex Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols (1989) | There's something missing from this 1989 submission. Yes, the song "Submission" is missing from the back cover. Fortunately "Anarchy In The U.K." is correctly spelled on the back cover and not "Anarchy In The UX" as it appears on the side two label. I'll enter the date as 1989 and we can take it from there. This cat# was first used in 1987 but there are differences with secondary cat#s and one of these 1989 issues has a secondary cat# OVED 136 on the spine and a barcode 5012981013615 as well. So two issues in the same year but very different and also different to previous issues of the same cat# from 1987. Each one will need a separate entry I think.

Lee Wrecker 26th Jan 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Fleshtones - Roman Gods (1982) | Linked to Australian (primary), Netherlands and UK releases already listed on the site.
Lee Wrecker 25th Jan 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumJames Brown - You've Got The Power (2018) | It was pressed by GZ Media in the Czech Republic but like you I was suspicious of the lack of licensing information. It is a great record but perhaps one of these EU legal loophole affairs much the same as when Italy had seemingly been able to release a lot of old jazz and blues records on the Joker label in the 70s and 80s. Strange that Discwrongs hasn't listed as unofficial yet because they're usually quick off the mark on that score. The records and CDs on this label seem to be widely circulated through legitimate retailers but it's still a bit of a mystery (dubious) to me.
