Bob And Ron Copper - Bob And Ron Copper (1963)
I bought this LP at an EFDSS event at the Royal Festival Hall, London in 1970 or 1971. I was not an EFDSS member, and the LP was still for sale to members only at that date, but the lady serving me kindly put her membership number on to the paperwork.

Alistair Anderson - Concertina Workshop (1974)
To clarify things, 'Free Reed' was the later name for Neil Wayne's 'The Concertina Newsletter' from Issue No.12 in May 1973. (See No.1 as PDF). The magazine expanded to include a list of records of interest for sale, which became a public record sales outlet, and eventually produced its own records (see Free Reed)

Head Machine - Orgasm (1970)
It made £105 + £4 postage. I've added this valuation. I threw it out 5 years ago!

Head Machine - Orgasm (1970)
I know this isn't a sales site, but my daughter in London is selling this on ebay as she has to move flat and is decluttering. Nobody owns or wants it here, but when she saw one without a cover for £100 and one with a cover for £600 plus, she thought it was worth a try. Maybe we'll get a decent valuation to add!

The Rolling Stones - Big Hits [High Tide And Green Grass] (1966)
Added green labels without 'Electronically Reprocessed For Stereo' markings, and back cover variant where mono and stereo numbers are shown, and marking for mono or stereo is by a hole in the cover displaying print colour on inner bag. Also has a single line of text only down right edge. Are these earliest versions so far?
Edit: Also noticed composer on Side 1 label track 7 is (Barry) rather than (Berry).

The Chieftains - The Chieftains 4 "Women Of Ireland" (1975)
Got another copy (£2 this time) but with the correct LP inside, so added labels. On these labels both sides are titled "Women Of Ireland" (Track B6, used in Kubrick's film Barry Lyndon). The CBS UK and Claddagh release labels are titled 'Chieftains 4'. Anyone?

Joni Mitchell - Mingus (1979)
I've just added the UK version of 'Chalk Mark In The Rain' which I found very disappointing, but contrary to you I found Mingus very good, and a return to something approaching her standard of originality.

The Chieftains - The Chieftains 4 "Women Of Ireland" (1975)
I've been sold a pup! I scanned up this LP, added the cover and labels to this existing entry, and was transcribing it to mp3 and wondering why it was so familiar to me. When I checked the labels I find I've been sold Chieftains 1 (Island UK) - which I already have on Claddagh - inside a Chieftains 4 cover! But at £1, its no problem, and adds a new LP (labels only) to our Chieftains listings.

The Chieftains - The Chieftains (1964)
This appears to be a re-release, possibly because the cover and labels are marked 'enhanced stereo' and on checking my copy, the label definitely says 'copyright 1973'. It was originally released in 1963.

Willie Dixon With Memphis Slim - Willie's Blues (1984)
Its difficult folks - the label says 'Prestige-Bluesville' even if it was re-released by a different company with a facsimilie label but different catalogue number.

Original Blues Classics seems to have only one record - Alberta Hunter and that was originally on the Riverside label. So does that have a Riverside facsimilie label? At the moment we (mods) can't tell.

We also have a Original Blues Classics - Prestige Bluesville label with only one record.

So Lee, where are your 4 or 5 albums from this series listed?

This all seems to be a mess, and we need to come up with a solution for the whole thing, rather than just patch this one record.I've PM'ed you both.

Gerry Cullen, Fran McPhail, Phil Callery - Many's The Foolish Youth (1987)
After the sucess of this LP Gerry Cullen, Fran McPhail, and Phil Callery went on to be internationally known as 'The Voice Squad'. Their vocal harmony singing was a totally new style for Ireland, and was based on English traditional style.

Horslips - Happy To Meet Sorry To Part (1972)
Perhaps the first record to be imported by the 'Free Reed' record company, long before it started producing its own. Many differences between covers and labels of this and UK issue. More scans to follow.

My reading of the Ogam script differs from that of the UK version entry. Can anybody provide the correct Gaelic?
