I think i got the discogs article about the bootleg wrong, from what i can gather there was an original 1980's whitle vinyl issue which was then bootlegged later on. The marbled effect in the vinyl is how it was done in germany, uk exports were block white and african ones were see through! So not all countries were the same!
There was a black viny and white vinyl issue in germany in the late 70's/early 80's on apple, the catalogue was then repeated in the 80's with the same cat. numbers on parlophone. So it stands to reason that if the discography was re-released then the white vinyl one would be too.
(Also if you can't fit the whole disc in your scanner then you can just take a photo and crop it to a circle)
Cheers An6y66. We're going in the right direction anyway. The marble effect on the disc I have to say looks really strange. I must try to scan an example and add it to the listing
Been doing some research for this record cptbeefheart
According to Here and discogs list this release as1986. However you have said in the notes it's a white vinyl release which, according to discogs, I haven't found any other reliable sources yet, is a bootleg. I'm not sure it is as the label looks too much like a regular release and many countries dud press it on white/clear vinyl.
will keep you posted if I come across anything else. Andy
Sorry An6y66, I wasn't taking it as a criticism. I genuinely want as much info as possible and your additional info is most welcome. Thanks for taking the time to post.
Good point, but that is why I said in my original post that I knew absolutely nothing about it. The more info the better. Glad to see it's generated some interest at least. Keep the ideas flooding in
I did know that but I had to put a date on the listing and the only one available is the one on the disc label. I also have the DMM coloured vinyls of the Red & Blue double albums and the White album which I know are later reissues. With lack of a reissue date I had to put the original date
Hi, your copy is NOT a release from 1968. Just look at the LC-Lablecode and the inscription of DMM (Direkt-Metal-Mastering, created by TELDEC-Record-Company). Your copy is a late pressing from around the 1980s.
Added all Label & Cover scans. I don't know much about this release, if anyone knows please let me know. Should also say that this album comes without photographs and poster
