Update from my cousin, " The early sixties (1964) I worked in an engineering company in South Acton as an office junior. I think the company was called Surgical equipment supplies. Roger worked as a tea boy first off always singing, around the factory.
My friend and I use to go to a pub in Greenford and watch them play live when they were just starting out. We were asked to start a fan club in those early days, one of my biggest regrets that I did not."
@OldMod67 yes that could be his backup job, my cousin use to work with Roger and Pete in Acton early 60s pre Who and was offered to run their fan club, she refused saying she needed a proper job.
Goldhawk Social Club, Shepherds Bush, more the Chiswick/Acton end of Goldhawk Road near to Ravenscourt Park, and not far from their homes. Once saw them coming out of a paper shop in Turnham Green back around 1965.
Popped an ad on from one of my old cuttings folders. There was (if I recall correctly) some confusion over 'The Who on tour' blurb (venues no longer existing etc)
