Tommy McLain - I Ran Down Every Dream		This is a superb album by Tommy. Supporting musicians include Van Dyke Parks, Elvis Costello, Warren Storm, Augie Meyers, and a host more.

Jackie DeShannon - You Won't Forget Me		Jackie DeShannon recorded "Try to forget him" in 1961, although her version didn't appear until this "You won't forget me" album came out in 1965. P J Proby put out a single on Liberty of "Try to forget her", in 1961. Proby's song is ponderous and recalls Roy Orbison. Jackie's is bright and suggests Bobby Vee. Proby's says it was written by Dick Glasser. DeShannon's says that she wrote the song. Despite vastly different arrangements and a change of gender, they are the same song!

Now, who can work that one out?

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band		I have just noticed (after very many years) that my copy of this album has the title "Sgs. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" on the spine of the gatefold sleeve. Is this a misprint, or a rarity, and should I be excited?
