David Whiteley 12th Oct 2020		Book Michael Moorcock - The Final Programme	ppint, After reading your comment regarding the revisions to this book I have compared the 1973 version to the 1979 revised edition and found that the changes are minor. For example, all references to Jerry owning or driving a Cadillac are removed, Mrs Cornelius (Jerry's mum) is mentioned a few times but she doesn't appear in the story and a character's name is changed to Una (Persson). Also a reference to The Moody Blues and Manfred Mann has gone. There are a few more small changes such as Jerry using a stronger expression than "Go stuff yourself" and that's about it.
David Whiteley 12th Oct 2020		Book Michael Moorcock - The Final Programme	Added front and back covers of Mayflower's 2nd printing from 1973. 1st published in the US by Avon Books in an edited form. UK edition published in full. The first three Jerry Cornelius stories, "Preliminary Data" first published in New Worlds Vol 40 #153 August 1965 made up the first few and last few pages of this novel, followed by "Further Information" New Worlds Vol 49 #160 December 1965 and "Phase Three" New Worlds Vol 49 #60 added another 40 pages. The rest of the story is all new. Even though this is the first Jerry Cornelius novel, in his Note to the reader in the revised edition 1979 Moorcock says The Cornelius books could be read in any order.

David Whiteley 10th Oct 2020		Book Brian Aldiss - Equator	Added back cover and with acknowledgment to davie gordon, better scan of front cover. Equator was first published as a serial in New Worlds magazine Vol 25 #75 September 1958 and Vol 26 #76 October 1958 and, as stated by ppint "Segregation" was in New Worlds Volume 25 #73 July 1958.

David Whiteley 30th Sep 2020		Book Philip José Farmer - Dark Is The Sun	Since I made my comment regarding the ex library book I have spoken to an ex librarian who told me that he used to send a pile of books to be rebound and they would come back looking as good as new. He also told me that, when removing the books from stock they would tear out the title page, as it was easier when deleating the books from their system to work from a small pile of single pages rather than a stack of books.
David Whiteley 29th Sep 2020		Book Philip José Farmer - Down In The Black Gang	The title on the cover of the hardback is "Down In The Black Gang" and on the title page it adds "And Others A Story Collection" which is why the second part is listed as a subtitle. Maybe the subtitle should be added to the paperback edition even though it only adds "And Other Stories". The two farmer websites I have consulted both list the two editions as "Down In The Black Gang" only.
