Plácido Domingo - Forever Domingo
Not a 1992 release, as this shows Universal Music's name and logo - DG didn't become part of Universal until 1999, it was still a PolyGram label in 1992. Looking in Discogs, there doesn't appear to have been any prior PolyGram issue, only a Universal Europe issue which had been entered as 1994 (now corrected).

Bill Haley And His Comets - Crazy Man, Crazy
Sorry WM, I don't know for sure, but I note that Michael de Looper's London listing has this as March 1957, so Michael might like to chime in here if he's lurking? The matrix numbers XLON1 and XLON2 might be a clue - I note that in 45cat, the 7XLON matrices seem to have started appearing on labels in early 1957, and I found some fairly low 2-digit numbers there, so presuming that LPs and singles used the same numerical series, then it looks like this series started in 1957.

Ike And Tina Turner And The Ikettes - Come Together
I'm not sure about "normal", but looking in Discogs, there seem to be a few, especially on the later UA "sunburst" label for Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Vikki Carr, and others. Perhaps at some point they ran out of (or destroyed?) Liberty label blanks and just pressed any further copies on UA as needed.

United Artists shut down the Liberty label in 1971, and the artist roster and catalogue was transferred to United Artists.

But wait, there's more - after EMI bought United Artists Records in the late 70s, they were no longer able to use the United Artists name, so Liberty was revived! In the last decade or so, Liberty was again phased out, and the catalogue is now with Capitol Records (ditto for the Aladdin, Imperial and Minit labels, all previously under UA's control).

King Floyd - Heart Of The Matter
Originally issued in 1969 on the Pulsar label, distributed by Mercury, as A MAN IN LOVE, hence the use of that title in the liner notes. I still don't know how this got from Mercury to Motown, or why Motown changed the title!

Although pressed in the EU, this is the pressing being sold retail in Canada

Does the company name Universal Music International B.V. appear on the disc and/or package? If so, then this is an edition intended to be sold internationally, not just in Europe. The same might apply to the other Europe edition linked below.

Apparently a November 1967 release in the US, according to the news item "Capitol Sets November LP's & Tapes" in Cash Box issue date 4th November 1967.

Sheepdip1234 is right; at that time, classical releases on London were reserved for the Americas and Far East, where MCA Records had the rights to the Decca name; adverts for London in the US Schwann catalogue in the 1980s highlighted the fact that the records were made in the Netherlands. Releases for UK, Europe and the rest of the world were on Decca, and most likely one pressing from the Netherlands would have been used for all those territories, Decca's UK factory at New Malden having closed shortly after the PolyGram takeover.

Actually released in 1971; the (P) 1960 comes from the original issue of this material on 4 EPs; plus, the Music For Pleasure label wasn't founded until 1965. Correction will be requested.

Was this actually released separately? The discography in Sharon Davis' book MOTOWN: THE HISTORY suggests that this was only released as part of the box set TMSP 1130 in February 1972.

Discogs also has the real Canadian release, manufactured by Cinram, which shows catalogue number CD 97541, whereas the images here are for the European version with catalogue number 4509-97541-2, and with the European rights societies GEMA and BIEM which do not appear on the Canadian copy. Again, it looks to me like this was meant to be the US Intersound version with completely different details to the Canadian and Euopean WEA versions, but images for the European were added by mistake.

Mod: made new European entry and moved images over

1978 is the phonographic copyright year, from the original release of this album on the Chiswick label, with the same catalogue number; the Ace label didn't come into being until the early 1980s.

"Latin"??? Very odd! And, re pudgym's comment from 2016, that 23-CD set didn't have any licensed material, so nothing from Teenage, Mark-X, Gone, Cindy, Atlantic, Wand or United Artists either, all of which plus the Motown tracks would have added at least another five CDs to the set, so Sony quite reasonably decided to restrict the box to the recordings that they own; they probably should have included the two Isley-Jasper-Isley albums though, as they were issued via CBS.

It's not hard for me to understand at all, but it appears to be hard for you - regardless of which company or organization put out the record, it was on the Philips label, as clearly shown on the label images here. The Discogs entry isn't helpful because it only shows images of the front cover and not the record, so we can't tell what actual label brand is used, but I have seen many discussions at that site over the years where it has been repeatedly emphasised that the label name to be used is the branded one. As far as I'm concerned, the label here should be Philips only, nothing else, so could whoever changed it please change it back? Ditto for the other Philips-branded releases on the Kooperativa Förbundet page at this site - label is defined by the label brand, not by the releasing company or the catalogue number.

Yes, Philips - that's what the labels (that YOU uploaded) on both sides of the record show; that's why the Label field is called "Label".

Various Artists - Back To The River : More Southern Soul Stories 1961-1978
Yes, most of us here realise that songs are copyrighted by their writers, and that in the USA ASCAP, BMI and SESAC collect broadcasting royalties on behalf of the writers, but that has nothing to do with this site, which doesn't broadcast or sell recordings, or use the copyrighted music and lyrics in any way. Any royalties due from this compilation would be paid by Ace Records Limited, who I expect would have obtained the necessary licences in the UK from PRS For Music; the UK system might be different from how licensing works in the USA, but I'm not really sure.

The Jackson Five - Anthology
Double CD Anthology in 1986, with a few extra tracks including "Let's Get Serious" and "Let Me Tickle Your Fancy", though Motown somehow managed to credit Jackie's "Love Don't Want To Leave" to Jermaine - it was the first track on Jackie's one and only Motown LP. Most of the Anthologies were converted to CD in 1986, with extra tracks, and Michael J. got an Anthology of his own, but Martha & The Vandellas, The Marvelettes, and Jr. Walker missed out at that time, they wouldn't get 2CD sets until the early 90s, along with Mary Wells.

Actually, "That's How Love Goes" was one of Jermaine's solo records too, and he contributed odd lines to some of the group hits, most obviously the bridge on "I'll Be There". Also, I just checked the track listing in Discogs, and there are actually six Michael solos, and one by Jackie Jackson, "Love Don't Want To Leave".
