TheJudge 20th Dec 2020 | | 12" SingleAl Campbell - Like You Girl | Clint Eastwood
TheJudge 18th Dec 2020 | | 78 RPMChopi Ngodo Dancers - Mchuio / Mtzumeto | I'm wondering if this should be under South Africa, as Gallotone was a ZA label and we have another entry here which was manufactured in England for Gallo.
TheJudge 12th Dec 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumOrganisation - Tone Float | Almost certainly 'unofficial'. I have a CD from the 90s with the same track listing (including the 'bonus track'), but with Rhythm Salad correctly titled. KW have never licensed this or their first three LPs under their own name for reissue.
TheJudge 9th Dec 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Who - The Who Sell Out | 'Perspiration' spelled wrong on the caption to Townshend's photo. Looks like they took their proofs from the 1995 CD re-issue which has the same mistake (see that entry).
TheJudge 9th Dec 2020 | | CD AlbumThe Who - Sell Out | Just noticed that 'perspiration' is spelled wrong on the caption to the Townshend photo. It has this in common with the vinyl edition of twenty years later (see 3715609).
TheJudge 9th Dec 2020 | | CD AlbumHawkwind - In Search Of Space | It's always been an issue with that album. I think it's down to people only reading what they expect to be there (you wouldn't expect to see that 'X', for instance, added to the fact that it's partially obscured by the artwork), and that 'error' then being duplicated in all sorts of ways (in discographies and other listings, for example).
TheJudge 2nd Dec 2020 | | CD AlbumVarious Artists - Eurovision Song Contest Kiev 2017 | I've managed to do it.
TheJudge 29th Nov 2020 | | CD AlbumJ. Karjalainen - Laura Häkkisen Silmät | Doesn't appear to be anything to suggest that: Discogs
TheJudge 29th Nov 2020 | | 12" SingleMalcolm McLaren - D'Ya Like Scratchin' (Special Version) | "Chrisma Records Ltd.? (copyright text at 3 o'clock).
TheJudge 19th Nov 2020 | | 78 RPMGrand Metropole Band - La Craquette / La Mattchiche | The label could be BelCanto (see Mike Thomas' site). The cat# and matrix# sequences would seem to fit.
TheJudge 12th Nov 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumTiit Kuusik - Opera Arias | A-side label says tha A1 comes from the 1st act of The Demon. whereas the sleeve says it comes from Act II.
TheJudge 11th Nov 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumJasper Carrott - Rabbitts On And On And On... | I think what you probably have is a later reissue after DJM's distribution moved to CBS in the summer of 1976. The singles cat#s were similarly altered at that time. I suggest a new entry is needed (you should note that the sleeve carried the old cat#).
TheJudge 8th Nov 2020 | | CD SingleShut Up And Dance - Save It 'til The Mourning After (Club Mix Radio Edit) | Yes, I did. They seemed surplus to requirements after the correction.
TheJudge 7th Nov 2020 | | CD SingleShut Up And Dance - Save It 'til The Mourning After (Club Mix Radio Edit) | Done, but isn't the DD track called Save A Prayer rather than Save It 'til The Morning After?
TheJudge 30th Oct 2020 | | 12" SingleOne Thousand Violins - Please Don't Sandblast My House | Ungrateful Bastard:

TheJudge 27th Oct 2020 | | Vinyl Album[no artist listed] - Disco Mix | Fair comment, but they could have just been missed out; the label layout seems pretty ropey.
If not, then what could those words indicate?
TheJudge 27th Oct 2020 | | Vinyl Album[no artist listed] - Disco Mix | Could 'Baltic'/'Baltik' and 'Decirium' be the artists?
TheJudge 27th Oct 2020 | | Cassette AlbumNicolai Gedda - Önskeklassiker | The vinyl version is on Discogs here, but has little more info than you've been able to provide.
TheJudge 20th Oct 2020 | | CD AlbumSteve Martin - Comedy Is Not Pretty! | If what's on Discogs (yeah, I know) is to be believed, this was reissued twice in short order. The one listed here is was issued as part of the Flashback series of budget-priced releases, while the one you described in your comment was issued on the Warner Archives re-issue imprint.
I think a separate entry for your disc would be warranted.
TheJudge 17th Oct 2020 | | 78 RPMThe Silver Stars Band - Stars And Stripes For Ever / Under The Double Eagle | A belated reply, but 'we' were at war with Austria-Hungary as well at that time.
TheJudge 14th Oct 2020 | | 78 RPMThe Philadelphians [US] - You Brought A New Kind Of Love To Me / Around The Corner | (Answers self: almost certainly not. Artist name changed)
TheJudge 13th Oct 2020 | | 78 RPMThe Philadelphians [US] - You Brought A New Kind Of Love To Me / Around The Corner | I shouldn't think this is the same band who recorded for UK Eclipse between 1928 & 1935. Is it?
TheJudge 30th Sep 2020 | | CD AlbumSufjan Stevens - Illinoise | I've finally got around to buying this, and let me tell you that it's an astounding album! A variety of styles played and produced to bring out the best in some high-quality material.
I'm going through his back catalogue on YouTube at the moment, and there are at least two other albums which I'll probably be buying soon; he's a most remarkable artist.
TheJudge 25th Sep 2020 | | 78 RPMFrank Lee's Tara Ceilidhe Orchestra - The Irish Washerwoman / Miss McLeod's Reel | The label design would put it somewhere after the beginning of 1942, with the label in its initial run ending in 1948. This was one (presumably the first or second release) of the label's 'Irish Series'.
TheJudge 23rd Sep 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Who - Quadrophenia | Mine was stapled in, but all bar the outermost sheet have become detached.
TheJudge 23rd Sep 2020 | | 12" SingleNaked Eyes - Always Something There To Remind Me (Remixed Version) | SPRO-9891 has two versions of 'Always' on it - a long (6:13) and a short (3:40) so, yes, there do appear to have been two promos issued.
TheJudge 15th Sep 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumOriginal Broadway Cast - The Happy Time | A distinction without a difference there, I think. They'd then all come under 'VA' and you'd have the same issue. Ditto 'Original Soundtrack'.
TheJudge 12th Sep 2020 | | CD AlbumRobben Ford And The Blue Line - Robben Ford And The Blue Line | It's a GRP cat#, but I've put Stretch in as the secondary label now.
TheJudge 12th Sep 2020 | | 78 RPMJohn McCormack - Believe Me If All Those Endearing Young Charms | I'd raise this on the 78s forum, Mike. There does seem to be some confusion over this. My instinct would be to create a new entry under Victrola and transfer the image across to it, but someone in the forum may be able to clarify the relationship between original Victor releases and the (apparently) later Victrola ones.

TheJudge 10th Sep 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumForeigner - Head Games | Head
