I'm wondering if this should be under South Africa, as Gallotone was a ZA label and we have another entry here which was manufactured in England for Gallo.

Organisation - Tone Float
Almost certainly 'unofficial'. I have a CD from the 90s with the same track listing (including the 'bonus track'), but with Rhythm Salad correctly titled. KW have never licensed this or their first three LPs under their own name for reissue.

The Who - The Who Sell Out
'Perspiration' spelled wrong on the caption to Townshend's photo. Looks like they took their proofs from the 1995 CD re-issue which has the same mistake (see that entry).

Just noticed that 'perspiration' is spelled wrong on the caption to the Townshend photo. It has this in common with the vinyl edition of twenty years later (see 3715609).

Hawkwind - In Search Of Space
It's always been an issue with that album. I think it's down to people only reading what they expect to be there (you wouldn't expect to see that 'X', for instance, added to the fact that it's partially obscured by the artwork), and that 'error' then being duplicated in all sorts of ways (in discographies and other listings, for example).

The label could be BelCanto (see Mike Thomas' site). The cat# and matrix# sequences would seem to fit.

A-side label says tha A1 comes from the 1st act of The Demon. whereas the sleeve says it comes from Act II.

I think what you probably have is a later reissue after DJM's distribution moved to CBS in the summer of 1976. The singles cat#s were similarly altered at that time. I suggest a new entry is needed (you should note that the sleeve carried the old cat#).

Yes, I did. They seemed surplus to requirements after the correction.

Done, but isn't the DD track called Save A Prayer rather than Save It 'til The Morning After?

Fair comment, but they could have just been missed out; the label layout seems pretty ropey.

If not, then what could those words indicate?

Steve Martin - Comedy Is Not Pretty!
If what's on Discogs (yeah, I know) is to be believed, this was reissued twice in short order. The one listed here is was issued as part of the Flashback series of budget-priced releases, while the one you described in your comment was issued on the Warner Archives re-issue imprint.

I think a separate entry for your disc would be warranted.

I shouldn't think this is the same band who recorded for UK Eclipse between 1928 & 1935. Is it?

Sufjan Stevens - Illinoise
I've finally got around to buying this, and let me tell you that it's an astounding album! A variety of styles played and produced to bring out the best in some high-quality material.

I'm going through his back catalogue on YouTube at the moment, and there are at least two other albums which I'll probably be buying soon; he's a most remarkable artist.

Frank Lee's Tara Ceilidhe Orchestra - The Irish Washerwoman / Miss McLeod's Reel
The label design would put it somewhere after the beginning of 1942, with the label in its initial run ending in 1948. This was one (presumably the first or second release) of the label's 'Irish Series'.

SPRO-9891 has two versions of 'Always' on it - a long (6:13) and a short (3:40) so, yes, there do appear to have been two promos issued.

A distinction without a difference there, I think. They'd then all come under 'VA' and you'd have the same issue. Ditto 'Original Soundtrack'.

John McCormack - Believe Me If All Those Endearing Young Charms
I'd raise this on the 78s forum, Mike. There does seem to be some confusion over this. My instinct would be to create a new entry under Victrola and transfer the image across to it, but someone in the forum may be able to clarify the relationship between original Victor releases and the (apparently) later Victrola ones.
