@mat5an: Blues Records 1943-1970 Vol. 2 gives 1945 as recording date for both songs; in the discography of CLASSICS 5119 (Julia Lee 1927 -1946 recordings) is the date 16th and 18th August 1945 for the songs listed.

The history of the "Americana" series and the reason and date for the A prefix has now been added to the series profile.
LaurenceD's copy without A prefix on the A side, but the original A-prefix on the B side is from the transitional time in late October 1947, when Capitol had just dropped its letter prefixes again (starting in July 1947, they had used A for "Americana" and B for Pop) and were using up already printed older labels.

Mer 8013 - images added of 1st and 2nd Mercury edition (original 1945 issue on Premier, with sides in reversed order). The Mercury ad in Billboard lists the titles still in the original sequence, but on labels Lotus Blossom is side A. - Music (with label images) is on archive.

Can't be Jul 1946, cause the song was recorded on 19th August 1946 in Kansas City
